With Biscuit he didn't have a Maximum Age. So theoretically it's not unreasonable he could probably go beyond the +3 cap even within the most standard ruleset.
Yes it stops at 3, for 2 reasons. 1. "Venerable" means everything after a certain age. 2. D&D has a rule that effects don't go beyond their tables. Otherwise players could start as billion year old Elans* with +NI to their mental stats.

*Elans also don't have a maximum age.

There's still no posting for Biscuit, Arles?

On that note, this page (http://www.goblinscomic.org/10142011-2/) provides evidence that Biscuit is large sized, as does his relative size to the minions of the demon who owned his soul, and to the white goblins he fights later, when compared with the medium-size hobgoblins they fought earlier.

I'm not seeing anything worth posting about Biscuit.

We don't know any of his stats, feats or hit dice, he clearly is not a common orc (with the stats you posted earlier) and his wisdom is unknown due to the fact that the rules don't specify what happens when a creature like him lives for centuries.
He's strong, but how strong? He's tough, but how tough? He's wise, but how wise?

If we don't even know if his race is homebrew, there's little we can do as of now to write down his stats.

Concerning Fumbles/Senor Vorpal Kickasso
http://www.goblinscomic.org/09022005/
Here he say's he's 1/11th of each class.

although i can't recall the rules to multiclassing in 3.5, i'm pretty sure you can't be 1/11th of a class as you could in 2nd Edition. So Fumbles would have to be lvl 1 of any 1 class then take a 1st level of a different class after that. But if he uses rules for 2nd edition then he'd in fact be 1/11th of every class... which would definetely suck.

Have you not considered that Fumbles hasn't taken a level in anything? His only note-worthy accomplishments are attacking a little girl and a penis.

Fumbles attacked Kore too. He wasn't successful, but that's hardly surprising. Hardly anyone has been successful in that regard.

Here's a more specific question that I'm sure many of you can rattle off without even looking at the comic. What is Drowbabe's spell list? How many spells are accounted for? What's the one that gives her the magic armor?

As a sorceress, her spell list is here: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spellLists/so ... zardSpells
She cast Mage Armor (which is the one that gave her magic armor), Sleep, and Magic Missile, which means either she was actually level 3, or Thunt made a small error in her spells known list, or she drank a potion of Mage Armor off-screen. She also knew Ray of Frost as a level 0 spell.
Assuming she had 12-18 charisma, she had 1 level 1 spell left over, and 4 or fewer level 0 spells.

Thanks. Mage Armor is a 1st level though, or have I misunderstood something?

Maybe Herbert is really using Pathfinder, so 0 level spells are unlimited use...or is using that as a house rule.

If we pinpoint the pages where there's evidence for all that we could add her to the list, yeah. :)

Ray of Frost http://www.goblinscomic.org/11042005/
Magic Missile http://www.goblinscomic.org/11062005/
Sleep http://www.goblinscomic.org/11192005/

For the Mage Armor, the only thing I could find was her talking about having it, you don't see her actually using the spell http://www.goblinscomic.org/11212005/

Oh, that's great. And http://www.goblinscomic.org/11062005/ or http://www.goblinscomic.org/11202005/ also serve as some kind of evidence pointing to her being a Sorceress rather than a Wizard.

Maybe she's using a Sorcerer variant or took a feat that gets an extra bonus spell known...giving her Mage Armor, Magic Missile, and Sleep at first level?

Bumping because I think I found the solution to this:

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/adva ... html#_drow

Sorcerer favored class option for drow is an extra spell known. Most likely she used that to get Magic Missile. (Normally at level 1 it would only give you an extra cantrip known, but maybe Herbert allowed a first level spell at level 1)

Heck, he allowed Minmax to trade away the ability to rhyme on purpose, the ability to wink, the ability to dress yourself, literacy, and who knows what else for extra feats and stat points...

Has anyone considered the possibility that Goblins in this comic ("Thuntonian Goblins?") might have different base stats from the base 3.5 game? These goblins seem a lot smarter and stronger than those.

Well, some are Elite (which have higher stats) or unique characters (which have whatever stats the DM wants - along with other attributes such as one wing), and most of the major ones in the comic have taken PC class levels.

But your standard goblin is explicitly CR one-third. That is, explicitly according to the comic.

And the first character to appear in the comic was a first-level character who fell under the onslaught of two of them, when he was already running from something (so possibly injured), flat-footed, and flanked. Not at all unreasonable.

First question, is this thread and the plants/animals ones worth sticky-posting to the top of the forums?

Second: is Forgath's IME shape now Herbert's holy symbol? Or is that just the form the Hold Person took? It wasn't brown though, which is confusing. I would have expected the Hold Person to be his IME color.

I think that's just the spell effect, and if you look close it is the same color as his IME but also has a glow that makes it look lighter.

On a related note, do we have a thread for Goblins equipment? It's the logical next step after this thread.
