Rudolph: You think back to everything you can recall about centaurs... you remember stories spoke of them as wandering nomadic tribes that usually avoid contact with the other races, moving from place to place without becoming embroiled in local politics or disputes. They are skilled hunters, and well able to defend themselves, but don't go out of their way looking for a fight.
A third, this one female and bare chested as well, with a dark brown coat other than white on the legs and underside of her horse torso, long dark brown hair fully braided. Her pike is stowed across her back, and a long bow with nocked but relaxed arrow in her hands.
Perhaps unnoticed at first by many of the party, as his hoof falls make little sound, from behind them on the road steps a centaur younger than the others, of a more lithely muscular build and somewhat smaller stature. He sports no beard, and his blond hair is cropped short, a long bow slung across his back, and his forearms resting easily across a pair of shortswords on a belt around the base of his humanoid torso. He grins a the party and nods.
((He's the one Holger failed to see or hear moving around behind the party with his 19 Perception. 24 Stealth is a heck of a roll!))
The last to emerge is a second female centaur, fairly young, bare chested and even slighter than the sword bearing centaur. Her coat is mostly a reddish brown, except near her tail where it gives way to white splotched with the reddish brown. Her hair is a wavy auburn with a streak of white, a braided section above each ear joining in the back to keep it off her face. She carries a quarterstaff in addition to the ubiquitous longbow. As she emerges from the grass, she walks directly towards the party, focusing on Maji. The leader calls out to her, but she ignores him as she paces a circle around the dragonborn, once, twice, three times, before stopping and... sniffing him.
((I'll take another perception check from Zephyr, now that the dragon cloud has swallowed the dwarf cloud and they've merged into just a cloud looking cloud.))
