I have a favorite new(ish) sci-fi writer: Jonas David. I just read a couple of his short stories ("Deathday" and "Three Seconds")and they blew my mind. You can read them if you go to the "published" section of his site. I'm going to read the rest of what he has published. I think he has the potential to go big.

You know, one of my favorite artists is my dear friend Brandy. Her gallery is here. Or on Facebook.

Favorite artists, eh? That could be a challenge for me. My tastes tend to be eclectic. Depends on my mood at the time. For example, in terms of painting, I really like Rembrandt's style. In a different mood, I really enjoy Salvador Dali.
I would say in terms of singer's, probably would have to be Enya ("May It Be", "Exile", "Long, Long, Journey" are probably good examples).
Now, instrumentals. That is also rather mood dependent. Bach's Brandenburg Concertos are my fav in classical. I like Vangelis at different times. But probably the piece I really like is a...I guess it's a waltz: "Ashokan Farewell".

I realize it's nowhere near as iconic as the artwork most D&D fans grew up with (in their books, on their calenders, at the game table, in their mags, et cetera). But I really appreciate the way that the art direction mirrors the game's focus as an experiment in aesthetic combat.
Have you seen the 5e art?! Even better!

Jim Woodring is probably the strangest artist at large today, and his tales of Frank in the Unifactor are the most paroniria-inducing thing in the world. I always thought meditation and Zen were good for calming one's mind, but they seem to have just set Jim's mind boiling.

I liked the 3.5 art the most, but the 5e stuff is good. I personally really disliked the 4e stuff from the gameplay to the art.

I'm amazed that they have come out with a new edition already, it seems like just yesterday that I was finding reasons to hate 4th ed.

I did like how the 3 and 3.5 books looked like magical grimoires and ancient tomes. It added something to the experience.

Looks good. But I can barely read it. People unfamiliar with Goblins are going to have a very hard time trying to figure it out what that means.

Wow, looks like blood stains are now blue; because the comic has gotten grim enough to make Thunt's Photoshop run out of red paint!
