Miasma follows behind, allowing any sibling that wants a ride to have a ride.

Provided that UnderSlem pushing the button didn't precipitate any disasters, and that the opening isn't belching fire, toxic fumes , or raging torrents of liquid, Gnomz will stick his head through for a quick peek. If nothing tries to eat or otherwise dismember him, he'll dart through and hide up against the wall again for a longer look.

You peer out into a dimly lit forest, huge trees towering above, the air is humid, and a bit warmer than the interior of the Master's complex, but not nearly as hot as the lava tunnels of yesterday. Looking back at the archway, it seems to be set into the trunk of a very large tree.

The chirpings and calls of various insects and birds sound around you.

Underslem discovers its bellybutton while waiting and is confused by its apparent lack of function. The other holes have all proven to have a use, but this one?

He checks the lizard people for stomach holes as it probes the depths of its and tries to remember if Gnomz had a stomach hole.

Gomz did, though the 'lizard people' do not.

Then the lizard people are closer to Slem's true state...

((You look at a picture of the firenewt's to make that decision :P))

Gnomz sticks his head back through the arch. "Trees. Looks like a forest. Maybe a way out?"

Fred will see if this body remembers anything about 'trees' before letting the others deicde on moving forward or not...
<Maybe inspect other ways before looking this one...maybe find more pointy things...or non-moving food> he thinks to the others...

Fred is a bit unnerved by the chill, and these big trees are unnatural, though they would probably burn well...

Underslem walks through and looks around.

<Huh. Well, anything to eat here? Should you do more sneaking?>

Underslem listens and looks around.

Gnomz gives UnderSlem a look. <Does this look like a cave? This form is good for sneaking underground. May not be so good for sneaking in trees.>

Underslem looks at Gnomz uncomprehendingly.

<Have you tried sneaking here? You are super good at it. Otherwise we can just walk around?>

Gnomz shrugs and tries hiding up against a tree to see how well it works.

stealth: 1D20+4 = [10]+4 = 14

Gnomz manages to not stick out like a sore thumb, but he's by no means invisible.

Underslem gives the direction Gnomz went an odd hand gesture it had in its muscle memory. Weird.

It then licks a tree, then tries tasting everything else.

((Give me a Nature check.))

Gomz slips into shadow, but it's his small size and not any talent for tree sneaking that helps him hide.

The tree tastes a bit gritty, but not unpleasant, Underslem samples a few more bits of vegetation before an inkling of alarm trickles through. That vine curling up the tree is definitely something he should NOT lick. It's a good thing he noticed in time.

Fred attempts to listen to the world...and see if he can hear or notice anything interesting in this world of burnable cellulose...

Gnomz looks at the vine that UnderSlem is contemplating licking and solemnly intones: "Leaves of 3, let it be." Then looks puzzled. "Where did that come from?"

Underslem blinks at the vine unsure of what leaves have to do with anything but rapidly losing interest in this non-edible place.
