((So Lurn and Ves are heading out?

Burns, it is still the middle of the night - probably around midnight now and even foggier than before. Ruby won't be able to much depending on how well lit the town has become.))

Ruby flies out the broken window right into the thick fog. He can't make out much other than shadowy figures walking with lights and notices a few of the street lamps have been lit. Nothing is readily identifiable as an enemy or as a friend.

((Mn, toward the barracks. Agreed, Thinks?))

Yup, to the barracks.

(It's nighttime? I thought it was just black fog.) "'Hmm. 'E cannae see nothin' out thar." Joe has Ruby fly back to her. "Ab'm ready to go when he are."

((Sun was going down as you came out of the alchemist's place, the fog is normal fog color))

Jolly gives half a wave as Lurn and Ves head out. He looks tiredly at the people waking up on the floor.

Ves and Lurn step out into the fog and notice that people are moving around and some of the street lamps have been lit. As they move towards the barracks they see individuals walking and talking to others and small groups talking. From what Ves and Lurn hear it seems like people are mostly confused by a gap in time.

The rest of the elves wake up and Denalius takes charge of her guards and servants immediately. She doesn't explain anything beyond that they, and Jaq and Joe, are going home. The guards look warely at Joe and Jaq and the servants fuss over her before all step into the night.

Ves shouts a hello to the guards and waves, keeping a little distance until she's made it clear she's there to talk and nothing else.

((Which guards? The ones with Joe and Jaq? Ves would probably run into some other guards heading up too. Or do you mean already at the barracks?))

((sorry I misread that and thought we were already there. She'll do that when we arrive then, but for now will just keep an eye out for anyone who seems hurt. She is at least relieved that folk seems to be getting back to normal and the fog hasn't poisoned everyone...))

As they head back towards the barracks, and incidentally the shop where Joe and Jack are just leaving, more and more lights are coming on in homes and shops. The people that are hurt outside, that Ves and Lurn can see, seem to be getting help from those nearby. There are a few guards up now and are directing people to return home, which most people seem willing to do.

There may be more injuried on the side streets and alleyways but with the fog they would need to go down them to check.

No one is too interested in either of them, mostly just giving them a glance.

Joe and Jaq head back towards the Prefect's estate, seeing very much the same thing as Lurn and Ves. The guards they encounter are waved off by Denalius' two as they approach to ask questions.

Ves mutters to Lurn as they pass by the others:

"Looks like they got the girl awake. Hah! Joe doesn't look too happy about it!"

((Should have been clearer, Lurn and Ves would have been going by the shop before Joe and co come out due to their waiting for the others to wake up. Around 20ish minutes difference.))

((I am trying to give you all a chance to interact with the surroundings rather than just have everything run on autopilot/cut scene mode where I just dump somewhere!))

((sure, I'm just not certain what Ves would want to interact with. I'm not ignoring the people getting better or the others in the shop really, it's just that she knows they're probably fine. She's more interested in finding people who need help, or who might need info, and right now, that means going to the barracks.

When they first pass by some guards, Lurn approaches them to tell them of the would-be kidnappers tied in the warehouse.

((In or by the warehouse? I don't think you hauled the three of them into the warehouse and the bodies were left where laid. You gonna tell them about the dead ones too?))

Four guards moving down both sides of the street sending people home are, unsurprisingly, surprised when Lurn tells them. The leader of the group, a half elf ,looks Lurn and Ves up and down,

"Who are you and why were you unaffected by...whatever happened?"

They don't seem hostile but they are tense.

"The water? How did it get in the water? You two can lead us to these kidnappers and explain along the way." He signals for two of the guards to continue informing people to return home and he and another guard remain with you.

"Okay lead on."

Joe will escort the elven lady to her home.

((@NSF Anything from Jaq? Otherwise I will move you along. I also am guessing that Ves has something to say about the conversation Lurn is having with the guards?))

"They're in the warehouse back up there [she'll give the address]. But they're well tied up. Where's your boss?"

The guard nods at the directions and that they are tied up and begins to move the pair of you in that direction.

"Fine, but you will still be taking us there to answer our questions. Who was this person kidnapped? Where are they now?"

And the second question seemingly confuses him,

"My boss? The group sergeant?"
