Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Ah, the poor commander. He doesn't know if he's dealing with a crazy man, a holy warrior, or both. Which is it? Good question. Could be Randy is still on the receiving end of a godly tirade....or is he hallucinating it from his previous contact? Or maybe he's just unhinged from the berries?

Either way, he wants you out of his hair so you're someone else's problem!

Out of curiosity how much did Dornikal pass to the families of the fallen?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
You passed back 60 gp, I don't recall the exact # of dead guards, but that's an extra 6-8 gold per family, doubled with what Ulmwin gave back too. So, couple week's pay at least.

I'm afraid Holger's fate is sealed. After that little statement, he's going to be our Rodney Dangerfield.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
In retrospect, Ulmwin probably should have used the gold first to pay back any debs he might have had... But he'll just deal with that once they get back to the tower. Ulmwin is too good for his own good and the minmaxer inside me hates it

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Money is only useful to Dornikal in helping the spreading of the word of Dumathoin and getting more gems to work on to his god's glory... so how much did we say a church would run him Spider .

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Just briefly wanting to say being at work I can't always immediately post, so Badge can presume Ulmwin would readily translate for him if required. Barring of course that he's got other duties to attend to, or doesn't have comprehend languages prepared for some reason. (Which at least for the time being, is going to be cast constantly)

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
So Ulmwin is at the shop with Randy and the new guys? That'll make the rangers job easier! So there will be occasional 10 minute stretches where Ulmwin's services aren't available, but otherwise is able to translate. If he's with them, we can say he was recasting while Gordon was getting naked.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Yeah, Ulmwin feels somewhat obligated to stick around the guy who otherwise literally cannot be understood. He will be making himself scarce for at least some time to get his instrument and new case back though.

Sure, instrument is ready, case he'd told you by this evening, so you've a few hours until he said it'd be done, but you can go grab your lute and check in.

Well Gordon wore himself out with all of the excitement today. Now that he has a fancy new outfit. (I don't know if the sailor costume was a joke or not) and a satchel to keep his food money in. (Which he's a bit confused why you but food money with other food money).

Not yet...I don't think Randy would have let him try. Nothing like breaking some teeth on hard rations

Honestly though... Why does he need clothes? The first battle will just ruin them.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Why does the gnome need clothes? Anyways Randy says Zokk needs them and Zokk trusts Randy’s judgement on human things.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Psychological ploy:
Tree walking down street: "Ahhh! Monsters! The forest is attacking!" Flees without further inspection.
Tree walking down the street in a jacket: "Whaa?!" Confused look. Looks around to see if someone is playing a joke. Sees tree NOT acting hostile, and while nervous, is now also curious.
It causes people to hesitate and look again instead of immediately rabbiting it down the road. Cognitive dissonance can be useful if it causes someone to hesitate instead of immediately panicking.

Not sure that "WWGD" is the metric anyone needs to be living their life by. He thinks coins are food at the moment.

I'd almost forgotten about them. Yeah, that's sort of a Bizzaro world version of Zokk, isn't it?
