Merrin pushes his sleeves up, to show he isn't doing anything with them, before taking the cards and starting to shuffle. After a few seconds he pulls out three cards and presents them, all with the same face, "Only fakes need their sleeves." A twist of the wrist and a quick flourish hides the cards and reveals them again, with three unique faces, and he goes back to shuffling, chuckling to himself.

(I figure even the weakest control of Chimerstry would be able to change the face of a card, right?)

(Celerity just enhances your speed/nerve, doesn't it? It may make it easier to track his movements, but that's it.)

{Chimerstry requires Auspex to see through, so actually I think Reese can see through it)

[that's what I though but Reese won't be telling :)]

Reese nods at other peoples jobs and the trickster tricks. If people exchanged phone numbers he has his phone out and he decides he will sit out of the card game for the moment and check the internet for recent news feeds about Detroit. The local new may shine some light on the lower levels of the society they're heading to and he might gain some insight.

Croaker settles back on her seat to watch Merrin's performance with interest and await the game; she tucks the notepad she wrote everyone's phone numbers down on back into it's pocket for later.

(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I am late, sorry everyone, the internet at school has been at best intermittent)

As the erstwhile companions divert themselves with fleeting card tricks and illusions, the limousine continues to blur past the background. Through the moonlit night the unsleeping passengers fritter their time away.

As the dawn begins to climb from the horizon, the car pulls down a shadowed alcove into a darkened underground lot. Ushered out by the driver, the vampires are directed through a glass door into a side room lushly furnished with comfortable armchairs.

"We apologize for your inconvenience, they will see you at around 5PM perhaps. Some of them like to sleep in I'm afraid."

Ignoring the rhyming slag for now Reese ask the driver

"So we're supposed to wait here until then? I hope this place has food, i'm getting a bit hungry, what about the rest of you?"

Reese looks around for other doors and exits. So far this trip was a little dull and he could feel some of his urges rising. Taking out his phone he is mildly glad to see the signal is weak but can't help but ask and check the place for a wifi connection.

Croaker shifts uneasily as she follows their escort into the room. Despite the offer of nice, comfortable looking arm chairs (and glad of the opportunity to stretch her limbs more freely), she remains standing. I followed their instructions for the meeting, do they want us vulnerable? Is this a trap...did I manage to get in the wrong limo? No, that can't be, can it? How could they have pulled something like that off...I'm just being paranoid. She scans the room looking for signs that something might be out of place; it might not hurt to be cautious.

"Oh, food. As it happens, I think we might have someone... I'll be back with some refreshments shortly. Don't worry about restraint. But first, are there any other questions?''

The room has no wifi, either an elder's oversight or eccentricity.

Ratha sits down in one of the chairs and tries to catch some sleep. After testing the chairs and the room, making sure no danger awaits them here.

Croaker remains standing and silently waits. She has no questions. Once their driver-attendant-handler leaves, she would like to explore the room there in in more detail. What kind of person, or people, would decorate like this?

" A wise man knows not to ask questions of his betters...pureeff, sound like something your betters told you. I ask when it's needed or find out of my own accord, So far other than "the driver" who may or may not be willing to give us info, No offense you just seem more the silent brooding type, he would still have more information on whats going on here in the city than our out of town smucks."

So as the driver has been listening to us this whole journey here and not said much of a word, even his name. I guess some last minute question before you go could be what are you going to tell your employers about us? but your unluckily to answer that one soo...I guess what can you tell us of your "bosses" that we should know before hand? Hell i'm not 100% sure of their names yet.

Also you mentioned snacks.

ÔÇØIndeed, the snacks. I would tell you all about my employers, but... I really don't feel it is my place. I just drive for them. I'll be turning in soon too.ÔÇØ

The driver leaves briskly, and returns followed by two glossy eyed humans, a mildly overweight woman of asian descent and a tall bald man.

'Don't worry about them. We have plenty. They don't struggle much either. Not sure what they do to them to make them like this, but hey. I just deliver the food.'

With that, the man leaves and closes the door behind him. The two humans stand stock still, loose limbed and with empty, bland expressions.

Ratha remains calm and seated. Having eaten just before the pick up, he merely feels an appetite for blood yet. He is much more interessted in the reason for their summoning.

Croaker looks over the "snacks" as though sizing them up. No one has made a move, perhaps the others are not so hungry. After a few moments pause waiting and seeing if anyone else wants to make a move, the figure approaches the male victim and peers down at it (unless Reese who seems quite hungry also would like to claim him before Croaker's approach).

"Is it my suspicions, or do our hosts seem to treat us warily?"
