How big is it now? If it's still small enough that he might think they can still drag it to the bowl, he might keep trying, but if it's larger than they can manage, he'd switch to attack.

Choking back snot and tears and trying not to breathe more of the corrosive gas than is absolute necessary, splutters a question to darfel:

"remind me again why we're hugging a giant gassy dragon thing? "

"You're making it sound like THAT was just a fart..." Jasper grumbles- Not really being able to hit the dragon without risking hitting the others, he simply backs off some- Hopefully far enough away to be out of range for most attacks, but not that far that he can't try and attack should it escape the others grip...

[spiderwrangler]

"*hack* I dunno, it was small enough to grab, so I grabbed it..."

[thinkslogically]

"Ok...! Can we make our plan a little more sophisticated before we get poisoned to death? "

The dragon is currently small sized. Humans can grapple normally as long as the size is large or smaller. Once the creature is huge, you can only make a grapple check to escape the grapple (unless you've somehow increased in size).

Henry tries to get close enough to attempt and steal a random spell off this weird creature (the colour-changing dragon).

Darfel and Ala continues to struggle with the dragon that changes to black again before they finally manages to throw it into the bowl. Inbetween Henry jabs at the dragon once in an attempt to steal a spell from it, but it sadly doesn't know any. He briefly considers if dragons aren't as magical as people believe them to be, but that thought is quickly brushed away as the dragon crumbles into several colour shimmering rocks like those of the statue and the entrance, once it enters the bowl. It lies there alongside to gold coins Jasper had thrown in there (did you erase them from your sheet?)

"Well... I did not expect that!"

Ala looks suspiciously at the coloured rocks before turning to the wizards.

"do you guys understand this? "

[GathersIngredients]

Henry looks at the inanimate stuff in the bowl rather confused. "What on Earth?" He looks up to his fellow group members and asks "Do you suppose we should do anything with these now?"

[M0rtimer]

Jasper moves closer to the bowl- Using knowledge arcana and dungeon to try and see if he can determine anything more about the shards.

"Perhaps. It's possible just the very stones could be our reward... Although Ala HAD indicated that there was at least one little critter around, so I'd be surprised if this was the end of it... Anyone happen to notice any hidden levers or anything of the kind?" Jasper mentions... Not really mentioning he's considering trying to remove some of the stones just to get his two gold pieces back. But he'll do that AFTER he's sure that removing any of them won't set off some kind of deadly trap...

Jasper takes a good look at the stones, he's not sure if there's anything special about them, besides that they change colour depending on the angle you look at them, and they only show 9 different colours, all corresponding to a colour from common dragons, except for white (they are black, blue, green, red, brass, bronze, copper, gold and silver). He spends a bit of time looking at the bowl itself and he too sees the draconic scripture on the side.

place a worthy offering and say "We grant you this and hope you deem us worthy enough to gift us a part of your power."

"...You guys think this is worthy enough?"

"Well then..."

"We grant you this and hope you deem us worthy enough to gift us a part of your power."

Ala opens her mouth to speak, but is cut off by Jasper. She braces herself for whatever comes out of the bowl at them.

Darfel is confused, even though shoving it in the bowl was his idea, he was figuring they could give it a swirly until it started behaving and told them how to kill the Red God, so was thoroughly surprised when it turned into rocks. He stands ready to face whatever tries to attack them next, as none of his companions seem in immediate need of healing.

Henry watches cautiously from the sidelines, not sure what is going to happen now.

Jasper does briefly pause to give the others a chance to speak up... But seeing none interject, simply continues.

It's only halfway through that he realizes he's standing pretty close to the bowl.

Rather than towards the back in case it explodes or something.

Well, shit. Too late now, he guesses.

[Theis2]

As Jasper utters the fateful words inscribed on the bowl, a green gas seeps out of the mouth of the large dragon statue and into the bowl. A bit of ice starts appearing on the edge alongside sparks of lightning inside it. You take a couple of steps back, but that's not enough as a blast of flames burst out, first engulfing the bowl and soon after engulfing the whole cave, leaving you senseless.

Cranberry falls to his knees coughing as sparks and flames wither and die on his robes. He looks up and his eyes seem to have taken on a strange lizard like slit before he blinks and their back to normal. His hands seem to have a strange faintly green color scales that slowly turn back into normal skin.
" That was strange.....I feel strange..." He mutters
