Unattractive women are nauseating to you. I get it. The violence, gore, and oozing sloth Minmax elicit no complaints, but ugly women. Vomitrocious.

Never said I was fond of those either; if Thunt dialed back on the violence a little I wouldn't mind a bit. And if he busts out a bunch of beardy dwarfettes, I'll live. But I'm happier for the fact that he hasn't.

Why anyone ever would care about such irrelevant thing as presence of unattractive women in fiction?

Never said you said anything of the sort. What I said was that they never elicited any complaint from you. Until now. Unless I missed you complaining about them in the past.

I never noticed that an Alt-Forgath is running up the side of the Tower... well, he could be falling, but it's funnier to think he's running.

No, I hadn't complained about the gore (or about Y+B) before, partly because I wasn't on the forum when I first encountered them and am now used to them. And partly because it's not very worth complaining about such things in my book; I just sort of happened into it here, but then my life is in a strange place this month because of the job loss. :x

I read the comic for several reasons, but the fact that it's pleasant to look at is one of the strongest such reasons. I'm not going to stop reading just because a bunch of ugly images appear one day, but the strip in which they appear is always going to be a non-favorite of mine, while the strips that have beautiful things (such as slave-bikini Kin, or the waterfall cliffs, or the shaded version of Klik turning to dust) are the ones I'll always remember most fondly and most enjoy re-viewing. I like looking at things that make me feel good; it's not a lot deeper than that.

Thunt also said that humans would find the idea of lady-dwarf neck beards disgusting.

I think she's adorable as of now, largely because of the beard's near-invisibility.[/beatdeadhorse]

Twice now... MinMax... the Hero without an eye... has been the one to grab the keys WITH EYES THAT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE HIS!

Well, they look like they could be a generic eye... BUT STILL, he is missing an eye and keeps grabbing eyeball keys. Wait till it turns out only he can turn those keys for some reason.

He's not missing an eye though. He can still see out of his scarred eye.

So here's another classic.

Read this, especially panel two

Now this

That set up took 6 years, 2 months, and 27 days
At some point I should really come up with a clever signature

(Sorry I came into this late) I don't know what your beef is, willpell, I think bearded women are cool just for being rare. And who is this lady-dwarf who was looking down? I know there's Forgath's mom at the anvil, but I can see her beard.

I just noticed that Kore is bald, like Forgath: http://www.goblinscomic.com/01182011-2/

He also has the same hair color and similar eyes. The terrifying prediction that Forgath is Kore is looking more and more likely. With the oblivion hole eating Forgath's beard, he may not braid it in the future. I still don't know, though. Kore never uses any cleric spells.

It's just an aesthetic preference.
And who is this lady-dwarf who was looking down?
A female alt-Forgath from the first strip of FMK in the Maze of Many. Teamed with Wizmax and a dopey-looking Kin.
I know there's Forgath's mom at the anvil, but I can see her beard.
?...we haven't seen any dwarves except Forgath and Kore and the little boy that Kore killed... :?

In the books there are bonus comics, like one where Not-Walter gets summoned topside again. There's also a story about how Forgath got his helmet. Has his family in it. Pretty good too. Awesome bad-thing in it.

There's also the executioner

But I can see her beard, too. I thought the whole argument started with your dislike of THAT specific beard!

No, I never saw that beard. I've simply been saying I'll be a tiny bit happier as long as no other she-beards appear in the comic. If they do, I'll live, but if they don't, I'll live more-well.

http://www.goblinscomic.com/04022008/ :puke:

Somehow, my mind had thought that Complains of Names' arm was injured in the battle. I never noticed its angle in that last frame before.

Also: there is a glowing spot in Complain's mouth in the third panel here. http://www.goblinscomic.com/10112008/

Is that the talking wall on the left? Doesn't exactly look like it, but it is a large head on a wall. (Left of last panel). http://www.goblinscomic.com/11102008/ {It is! http://www.goblinscomic.com/11232008/ Check behind Ears in the second row.}

Dies is scared in the last panel, but Junior doesn't react. http://www.goblinscomic.com/05112012/

That glowy bit is just a spark from grinding the Shield of Wonder against the wall. And Junior didn't do anything because it's not the kind of scared that warrants a reflex, more like watching a movie.

Junior never made that distinction before, did he?

As for the "spark"...the rest are yellow?

Because now he is fully separate being. I believe he could even detach from Dies at that moment if he wanted.

Yeah. I'd just never noticed that before. Which is why it's in this thread. :ktongue:
