I think there are flying pokemon in caves as well.

Sam is looking for cheri berry plants, and fire/water pokemon.

Having got his Pokemon healed, Grant follows the others towards their destination. Staying at the back of the group, he tries to ignore that idiot girl, but can't help getting a little excited at the idea of exploring some caves. Maybe these guys weren't so bad after all.
Then, they mention flying Pokemon.....

Falling back out of hearing range (though still keeping them in sight), Grant takes out the Genco ball and releases his newly acquired Snubbull.

"Alright, I still haven't forgiven you for that Bite you gave Bas, but now your on my side, so perhaps you can start to make up for it."
"You're a tough little guy, so I think I'll call you Scrapper. Got it? Good. Now, back in the ball you go."


Perception: 7-5=2

"I agree looking for rock pokemon is hardly what we should be doing at this time if our goal is truly to have a hand at the local gym... And I would not know if fire pokemon are common in these parts, or of the location of any volcano. Hence I would guess the woods and their bug pokemon would be our best bet."

I should note that I had said I'd be buying things before moving on, but I hadn't posted what I'd buy yet, thinking the battle may continue. Quick list of purchases and costs:
5 pokeballs (1000 cash total)
1 field first aid kit (650 cash)
1 Trainer's Road Kit (250 cash)
1 Sturdy Rope (50 cash)
1 Grappling Hook (25 cash)
1 pack of 3 field rations (25 cash)
Total= 1000+650+250+50+25+25 = 2000 pokecash

You all are blind. BLIINND. Okay maybe asides though with 10 and higher. Maybe. Anyways, along the way those got 10 or higher notice some bits of grass moving. It's not moving fast, but... some people are too preoccupied to even notice you pausing and running into you. I'm talking about the -1 perception dude. Yes you.

Suddenly realising that he's completely unprotected, Grant brings Scrapper back out again.

"Don't go getting any ideas mate. The only reason I brought you out instead of Bas is she probably wouldn't be able to keep up if we started moving again. "

He also discreetly slips his brass knuckles onto his right hand, before scanning the area for movement.

Perception: 1d20-5=14-5=9

(.....I was honestly expecting to get a -4 there. Oh well, I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later XD)

Acting as if he didn't bump into someone, Hugh just immediately turns to wherever the others are looking at.

"Pokemon it appears. Let us follow them, shall we?" he says, releasing Jupiter from his ball.

"You have a keen nose do you not? Make sure that pokemon does not escape. Try to follow him as long as you can in the case he would lead us to more."

Tracking roll:1d20=12 (success)

Perception roll: 1d20-1=6

Mace holds a hand up to the other trainers, "hold up guys, if we spook it it'll just run off. Let me and Pete get behind it first."

Mace goes wide of the rustling and starts to work his way behind it, in order to cut off any pokemons' escape that way.

If this pokemon wasn't planning to attack us then this obvious display of hostility is likely to scare it off, and even if it was going to attack there's a chance of it. Scrapper moves forward, staying behind the others but still getting close enough to do something if they're attacked.

Spider Pete (spider pete) goes around to attempt to flank the creatures. But how does a tiny spider do such? They scamper about through the grass.
