Minelings (Year 3, month 4, week 1)

Year 3, month 4, week 1:
"all water and similar fluids fall by 1d3 blocks."

Events:
- the water level drops by 1 block.
- the seaweed seeds sink to the ground, while the plants are fully rotten now.
- the bats calm down and return to the ceiling once again.

Boomy:
Boomy uses 3 of the remaining construction stones and finishes the bridge. It appears stronger and more stable now, that is is finished.

Complains:
Complains jumps into the water and swims and dives after the injured octopus, but it always escapes, either by speed or the relese of ink. After a while he climbs back into Maggy.

Oggy:
Oggy walks into the water and grabs the dead bat. He then takes it to the furnance to dry it. He relights the furnance with 1 briquet. The wings of the dry bat are like leather, while the bones are week and slim, like those of a bird. It got a small furry body, but as the fur is very small, he would need lots of it to craft clothing. The wings are larger, but still he would need more than one bat for every piece of clothing he can imagine. The body of the bat is too small to provide any food.

Ryan:
Ryan continues to chisel steps into the wall, but he is a bit slower than usual. At the end of the week he has to vomit, but then he slowly starts to feel better.

Trip:
Trip rows the boat after Complains, in case he needs help. But luckily he does not.

Zoomy:
Zoomy continues to work on the barrier lid and finishes it. 1 lumber is left as the lid is smaller than the door. But as the hinges are limited, he can only make one lid. Only the metal bars have to be created and attached now, then they can attach it to the vent. At the end of the week he has to vomit, but then he slowly starts to feel better.

Discoveries:
- bats (1 bat fur, 2 bat wings, flying around, hanging on the ceiling)

Oggy stores the bat fur and leather, then heads down the tunnel to the left, to check out that one room. Maybe it's changed since they first looked into it.

Boomy:
Boomy returns to his mine and mines 4 construction stone and 1 iron.

Complains:
Complains borrows Ryans chitin scale shirt for a while and reproduces another one out of his own shirt and 6 chitin.

Oggy:
Oggy stores the bat parts, then he walks to the left to check out the rooms again. They still look like the first time. One is a storage with rotten shelves, that cannot be used anymore, while the other two have three beds each and a strange platform at the end, which is surrounded by runes chiseled into the stones around. Although he cannot read them, he pays enough attention to notices the runes are not the same around both platforms. If only he could read them.

Ryan:
Ryan continues to chisel steps into the wall, managing to do it on 4 blocks.

Trip:
Trip and Complains row back to the shore and move the seaweed and dead octopusses to the furnance. It is easier now that the bridge is finished.

Zoomy:
Zoomy uses the metal bar mould to create metal bars out of 2 iron. He attaches them to the vent lid.

Zoomy builds footholes to the shaft Ryan is not climbing so he will be able to attach the barrier next turn.

Year 3, month 4, week 3:
"all water and similar fluids rise back to their normal level."

Events:
- the relatively uneventful month of flood ends and the water level returns to normal.

Boomy:
Boomy mines 4 construction stone and another iron.

Complains:
Complains gives his chitin shirt to Oggy and receives his plain shirt instead. He uses the week to turn it into another chitin shirt.

Oggy:
Oggy grabs some seaweed as proviant and walks to the left, exploring the large cave again. The lava flow has not changed much since the goblins last took a look inside, but parts of the ruins have been smashed by a rock falling down. The rest is still like the first discovered it. If they find a way to block or bypass the lava flow, they can go down or to the other side of the cave.

Ryan:
Ryan continues to chisel steps into the wall, managing to do it on 4 blocks.

Trip:
Trip makes a run to move all the things Boomy has mined to the storage. It is hard work with the rope climbing, but he gets it done somehow.

Zoomy:
Zoomy decides to also chisel steps into the wall, so they can more easily attach the finished vent lid. But first he has to destroy the stones that had fallen down from above, then he starts to chisel. He manages to do it on 3 blocks.

Oggy shrugs and goes to help Boomy by cheering him on so he can mine faster. And to hand him seaweed when he gets hungry.
