IIRC, Lauren is sporting some sort of (brown and) green, so I would probably pick this color for her. Would that be ok with everyone, especially the GM?
I was actually thinking of suggesting the same thing.

Well, it's much like the dilemma of the centipede. If he relaxes and lets things happen, he can walk naturally all day long, his hundred legs not missing a step. But, if he thinks too hard about the complexity of what he's doing, those legs might crash into the teahouse and kill everyone. A valuable lesson

I often post from my phone so if I miss colouring tags that's why, but Brigitte is a dark orange, so I'll try and use that colour.

Um....guys, no one is running yet out of the npcs. Unless you two want to take off on your own... heh

Ready to run, not start running! I mean if you want to go ahead and run thats ok, but don't imply the NPCs are running as well. They're waiting to find out what it was. I never said they were running.

I posted that I run when they run. I just didn't want to get left behind if they started running and I hadn't posted that I was ready!

You posted that you are running =/ Its one thing to say your character is ready to join the flight, another to say they are running already!

i'm sorry for nitpicking at you guys. it isn't even the running itself that is the issue so much as the posts conflicting with what i've said the npcs are doing heh. If your characters are booking it, alrighty then. Lets get this pack even more scattered =p But if you are only trying to say your characters are trying to follow the actions of the npcs, some edits need to take place since three of you, for all appearances, seem to be running full tilt! xD

Yeah, I meant it the same way. That as soon as there was a direction to go (e.g. after the NPCs), Lauren would go. RUN even. :D

Only if the NPCs would idle around until the threat already breathed down their necks and/or all fall down or something while being pursued, that she would try and find her own way out of this mess, which means preferably away from the roaring/whatever it is breaking through the underbrush sounds.

Aye, no issue with anyone running for their own reasons. But everyone is saying they're running after the npcs...who haven't moved yet as they're waiting to assess the threat.

Along with the start of that sentence, though, I thought it was pretty clear B was following them when they moved :/ sorry if it doesnt read that way to everyone else, but I did mean it that she was ready to run if running was the plan. I wanted to allow you to continue the story, such that if Doug and Anoki ran, you could include that Brigitte (and Lauren) were running with them.

Yeah, that sentence reads in such a way as to say she is already moving, not that she is prepared to move with them.

I know what you guys are trying to do now, but it was confusing as hell to me as a writer to see you guys have your characters bolt like that when in truth it seems you were just trying to say your characters were prepared to bolt when/if the others did.

Slightly edited my post for clarity. What I ment was I would follow them when they ran, only leaving them behind if I was fast enough to out pace them, which I wouldn't be trying to, just if I am.

Clarity is welcome!

I really am sorry if you guys think i'm nit picking this or trying to change your actions; i swear i'm not. Clarity and making sure no one thought the npcs were already running, was basically what i was after. Said it before, not going to stop you if you did run off, just not recommending it lol

Personally, I don't think you asking for clarification is nitpicking or trying to mess with our actions. I prefer you doing that much to you just assuming things and that resulting thing in ending bad for everyone.

I'll try and put more effort into being clear on what I want Lauren to do from now on, too.

Holy sh*t, this is intense. I have no idea where that post I just wrote came from. I think I would have come up with a much different reaction, so I guess that must really be Lauren's doings there.
Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, I just hope she'll pull through.
I gotta admire her bravery, and how she faces danger for her fellow pack members. :paranoia:

Yeah... I've been a dinosaur for all of 5 minutes, no way in hell am I fighting a fully grown trike in a blood rage.
I am surprised about trying to get people out of there first. I always figured myself for a "screw you guys, I'm going home" kind of guy.

I can't believe everyone is running. We have a real chance here if we stick together as a pack and attack from multiple angles. It can only attack from the front and at the tail. There's a whole giant flank to attack and disembowel. Raptors killed through bleeding the other dinosaur to death or disemboweling it. There's plenty of space for both on a 'trike'.

Plus, we have giant freaking claws. Triceratops had skin that was thick but less than an inch thick and our claws are huge (I'm estimating about seven inches for adults, six for young adults - based on the fact that we're slightly smaller than utahraptors who had nine inch claws). We can easily pierce and tear the skin.

'Course Hoff knows none of this. He attacked because that's his personality and did it from the side because it seemed tactically optimal like flanking the enemy in the military.

Lesson learned. Read the game thread before the ooc thread. Off to go fight a dinosaur now I guess.
