That'd probably help with my second problem, too.
My game:
Hunters of Letrua; Character list
Also Player / Monster stats, skill lists.

My characters:
Tugs Tails, the goblin that was sort of a trapper and wears a bear's tail at his neck, for some reason - Lair of the Mountain King (Run by Thinks)
Alex Sparo, A city boy, poor of sight, who has learned to manipulate people and make the most of what he, and others, have - Trinity Isles (Run by Mort)
Mehriv Turajin, a Noble Dragonborn Sorcerer sent from his clan because he wasn't dragony enough. - The Wandering Archipelago (Run by Thinks)

I do think we need better indicators of pokemon that are of the same species as ours but enemies. Maybe a red box around them or with an indicator.

Sure that can be done. What pokemon was a double in that there was both a friendly and an enemy anyways..?

Did we want to go to the tower as one group then and let the NPCs handle the defense? Or did we want a second PC group to hang back with Mew?

If we split up, I'd nominate myself to be on defense. It's not an exciting prospect, but Koa can do it better than most. I'm sure Mort would do his best to make it exciting anyway.

Yeah, if you guys really want to split up, I'd do my best to make the "defense" still interesting too.

Now where did I put that box of discount villains...

Haunter was one of them where Drake had one and enemy had one. I am sure there were others as well, but since there were a lot of ghosts I did think that the dusclops was an enemy.

You realize the haunters were both friendly, one being Drake's, one being Bruce's?

They were. Well, in each case, I guess that only indicates every enemy should be given some kind of marking yeah :P

Speaking of (and hopefully not sidetracking planning discussions), when are we getting exp? :shifty:

Irene and Izzy are kinda on the Tower group by default at this point. And it looks like the Queen will be joining us. So if we're splitting evenly, then I guess two of you head over to meet up with us?

--------------------------------------------------------------

Also, regarding the massive updates issue.

Each player has (potentially) seven characters they can control; their Trainer, and 6 Pokemon. Sure, nobody ever has all 6 out at once, but I know I regularly release 2-3 over the course of a fight, to improve Type matchups or deal with changing circumstances. When you throw in enemy Trainers and Pokemon too, the map and initiative lists just get overcrowded.

So, it might be would be worth it to introduce a "only one Pokemon can be out at once per Trainer" rule? At least for big battles. We could say that, whenever you release a new one, your previous Pokemon is automatically returned.

This would hard cap the number of characters on the map at (Player Trainers + Enemy Trainers) x 2. Which is still a lot - assuming all 8 players, and a roughly equal number of enemies, that would be 32 characters. But that would be the absolute max.

((Also, maybe we could have a separate "KO'd" list for the enemies we knock out? That might help too.))

Oh, right. The exp for the battle. The exp for the battle that you won. The exp specifically made for the won battle. That exp?

Drake, Bjorn, Bruce, Koa, Haley, Alex earn 598 exp to distribute among their pokemon!

Were they? I feel like there was something where there were two of a pokemon in the fight and one of them in the initiative list just had the species name... And from memory (Which sucks) it was either a haunter or one of those crystal ghost things. The ice/ghost ones.

Yeah. Large fights can be difficult to manage. Splitting them up could work. The only issue I can think of is if it ends up waiting on one person to post.

Also, as for all of us attacking the tower, we have enough characters with the ability to fly that we could probably have one group fly up high, and the rest go from the bottom up. Maybe meet in the middle for the climactic fight, if that's what M0rt wants?
Thanks to Arch Lich Burns for the avatar, and Mnementh for the mustache.

EXP:
Roy gets 118 EXP, bumping him up to level 35, which nets him another rank of Top Percentage and a point in SDEF.
Tyr gets 480 EXP, pushing him up to level 35, which gets him Rank 4 Top Percentage, Five stats (2Def, 1ATK, 2Spd), Crunch (Replacing Roar), and makes him eligible to evolve!
((It was either get Tyr to evolution point and get him Rank 4 of Top Percentage, which nets +1 to all base stats, or get roy to 39, which is still one off evolving, soooo))

Gotta have the battle on the top of the tower thou. That's like a narrative rule.

Given Bjorn only used Sneak (in combat, Tank was just mounty mount), Sneak gets the full 598 points.

He rockets from level 22 to level 30, and bypasses Hone Claws but learns Beat Up in place of Scratch.

He gains +2 SPD, +3 ATK and +3 HP.

He can now also evolve! (He is holding Razor Claw.)

Judging from the fact no one's speaking up about the "defend Mew" suggestion, I'll assume no one's particularly interested in it. So I believe we're all heading for the tower together!

That said, splitting up into a sky team and ground team might be a good idea. I remember us planning to do that before the attacks started.
SuperVaderMan wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2019 9:31 amGROUND TEAM
- Koa
- Alex
- Bruce
- Drake
- (NPC trainer)

SKY TEAM
- Izzy
- Haley
- Bjorn (?)
- Irene
- (NPC trainer)
Does that look good, or did some of you want to get switched around? In addition, I'd assume the Queen would go Sky team and Magnus would go Ground team. I'm not sure what Jack and Fatale plan to do, whether one or both of them are joining or hanging back with Mew.

Regarding experience, no trainer exp, huh? :shifty:

Makeno gains 380xp and 4 levels (29 -> 33)! He gains 1 HP, 2 Atk, and 1 Spd, and he forgets Hone Claws to learn Embargo, a weird move that might see some niche use!
Polmaka gains 123xp and 1 level (30 -> 31)! He gains 1 Spd.
Lonaki gains 95xp and 1 level (31 -> 32)! He gains 1 HP.

So slight problem with the Sky Team: Maku is on 21Hp, with 2 Injuries. He can still carry people to the roof, but I'm strongly considering stopping off at the PokeCenter and swapping him out for someone else before we run into a big boss battle.

So, what other flying Pokemon do we have that can transport people? Or do we need Maku for this to work?

Speaking of healing, Koa can mix up some drinks and make some snacks if we wanna spend a little bit of time prepping. We could do that at the Academy or when we meet up near the tower?
SuperVaderMan wrote:All Chef Snacks - $100

Enriched Water (20HP) - $40
Super Soda Pop (30HP) - $65
Sparkling Lemonade (50HP) - $125

Reminder: Trainers and pokemon can only consume 1 refreshment item per half hour (unless they have Gluttony).

Skarmory is mountable, but is also made of blades, so riding it without a specialised saddle is not advisable.
