Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Maji may get closer into range for some entangle so they will have to traverse difficult terrain if they want to climb the mountian, but looks like they may just go into the cave instead.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Anything that can slow them down in the entrance would potentially be very useful, and hopefully help us pick them off at range before they get all angry and chasey. If there's 15 or so down there plus a "witch" we're probably going to need some serious crowd control.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I have limited magical ability. I think that if us magic users can get close enough to "ambush" them as they emerge, we could hopefully put at least some dent in their population. Kinda wish I had a Roxy to throw down at them right about now.

Yeah a few more Roxy's would make this a cakewalk

Unfortunately, she was one of a kind, and now she's gone.
If I'd dispensed more of her, I'd have to be making your combats much more challenging!

I might have a mini roxy..? Got a gem that can be used several times to summon a random animal, but it probably won't be quite as cool as Roxy.

Unless it's a honey badger. Then it'd probably do more damage than Roxy

Die of Summoning
Wondrous item, rarity unknown
When activated and thrown, whichever side lands facing up determines the creature summoned. It seems that five of the faces are still active, but the creatures able to be summoned could not be determined. Use of the cube does not confer control over the summoned creature. Inactivation of one of the six faces suggests this might have 5 remaining uses, but that could not be verified without experimentation.
((For the purposes of using it, the "5" is no longer available.))
Who knows, it could be anything!

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
But, we could summon a dragon and after it kills the orcs, we find ourselves having to kill it as well.
Because there is no mention of a limited time period in which it is summoned.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I will be sorely disappointed if one of the options is not a honey badger, and that it ends up being a boss battle after it kills whatever we summon it on.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Wouldn't Maj have to eat one first? That could be a bit of a tricky proposition.
Of course it would be totally worth it. Just the poison resistance alone would be something. Saw a documentary where a honey badger and a cobra squared off. Badger won, of course, then just lay down and slept off enough cobra venom to turn an elephant toes up!

He has giant badger, think a honey variety would have to be homebrewed... poison resistance and immunity to poisoned condition tacked on?

It also gets +10HD, one bigger size category, an extra dice to all of it's attacks...

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Honey badgers also have problem solving intelligence. They are perfectly capable of hauling logs around to reach places that they couldn't before. Or piling up rocks to gain access. And stubborn as hell! "If at first you don't succeed " isn't a philosophy for them, it's a life style!

Ooo.. Or, we summon a dragon, and then turn it into a frog with that necklace and then stomp on it until its dead.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Isn't it like a polymorph deal where it stays a frog until it hits 0 hp, and then just turns into a pissed off dragon again?
