Are we missing something to move forward, or is there just a delay in the update?

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
I'm imagining Team Druidcat's formation as a triangle right now:
Which brings up an interesting point: exactly how are the two people with GOOD survival checks going to follow the tracks when neither of them are actually at the front following the tracks?

I guess Gwen will be in front with Syli since nobody wants to be front guard.

Thought we were pausing to see if Kal can figure out a way to block it? I was waiting on that.

All right. Ill deal with Kal's actions in a little bit, but at least wanted to update you guys on the smell part. If Korrik's helping Kal, I don't need new rolls, otherwise I'll need / make disadvantage rolls for all those skills when I get back to the computer later.

Oh, I see. I can reroll. Or do a second batch of rolls. Or roll fewer/different things.
Mostly offline/inactive due to chronic health issues. PM me if you really need attention.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
That's a weird interaction for Devil's Sight!
If you're inside the radius of Light, and thus surrounded by a bubble of dim light, that then cuts off your Devil's Sight?

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
Yeah, I've read that advice a bunch and I'm honestly not sure which way it's meant to work. It seems like darkness is darkness though, and Gwen should be able to see perfectly fine well beyond the radius of the torchlight (darkness), same as anyone with normal darkvision (except she can see through the darkness in colour). The light spell casts bright light to 20', dim light to 40' and nothing beyond. Gwen's devil sight extends to 120' which is well into the darkness in this case.
Happy to discuss if you guys can find any more clarification on it, but for now I'm going to err on the side of giving Gwen the benefit.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
Hard to speculate on the fantasy physics of magical vision... guess in that case it'd be more like standing in bright light and looking past a shaded area to another bright area. That sounds probably better and less punishing.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
yeah it's a weird one! If she had darkvision it wouldn't be a thing (everything would be like bright light), but for those 2 races without it I guess you end up with the weird shade ring
It doesn't really make a huge difference to the game for it to work like this, and I'd rather let Gwen have her cool vision thing than arbitrarily cut it off because someone else needs to use a torch.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
I suppose it should be noted that so long as Mehr's Light spell lasts (1 hour), the wand can either be used for the light it casts or covered up to completely block it out. Since the duration would only last for part of the first watch, it's Rodgeir's choice as to whether he wants the light or not.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
In Varsk's opinion the light will draw more attention to where they are than what it is worth since he has darkvision.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
Hello. Thank you for calling WearsHats. We regret to inform you that Mr. Hats is currently broken. It seems that forcibly flipping his circadian rhythm (such as it is) upside down every couple of weeks has somehow resulted in a critical case of jet lag. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Your call is important to us. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience. Good day.
