Are the attacks magical, Thinks? If yes I get advantage on the checks.

Re: MotBM (OOC)
No, this is not magical I'm afraid, just a Spectre ability.

But aren't Spectre's magical creatures?

Re: MotBM (OOC)
So I can't find anything useful online about magical resistances in player classes. Can you post the description from your class / race / wherever this comes from

Re: MotBM (OOC)
It's my Gnome Cunning Feat:
And yeah, I can't find much on it either. The best I've found is an errata which defines magic (pg16). So I suppose if the ability doesn't fit one of the following points, then yeah, I'm out of luckPH pg37 wrote:Gnome Cunning: You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.

Re: MotBM (OOC)
Cool, that's handy and good that they clarified or this would be one of those weird rules that could apply to virtually anything!
Ok, the attack is none of those things, so I'm afraid they will be straight CHA saves.

Re: MotBM (OOC)
What's the layout of the room like? Are there shelves that I could move behind that block line-of-sight? Also, I'm assuming I left Erik in the other room? How far away is the door from where I am now?

Re: MotBM (OOC)
I don't know where you left him to be honest, but that makes sense if you're pretending to be a bellhop
There's nothing to hide behind really, but there are tables you could crawl under or cupboards you could hide in.
Make a perception roll please.

Re: MotBM (OOC)
Per check: 1D20+0 = [19]+0 = 19
1D20+0 = [3]+0 = 3
((I accidentally rolled twice because I forgot to change the settings. That means the second roll doesn't count, right? ))

Re: MotBM (OOC)
Haha, yeah you're fine.
You notice that one of the spectres is floating half inside a table. It seems to move a little slower, like you would if you were wading through water, but it otherwise doesn't seem to be much of an obstacle for the creature.

Re: MotBM (OOC)
Sure, why not. There's also another door to your left (the semi circle on your map) or you could risk heading right towards the wedding (where the spectres came from).

Re: MotBM (OOC)
Didn't they come through a wall? Regardless, I think I'll avoid that route. Last thing I need is to run into more of these arseholes

Re: MotBM (OOC)
No, your map isnt very clear, because of how I edited it, but there's a passageway to the SE. Unless I said they came through the wall in which case, yeah, they totally did that

Ok, I'm going to give the main party the opportunity to catch up a little. I think you're both at the about the same point in time, but I don't want to get too far out of sync

Re: MotBM (OOC)
No problem, I have been speeding through things a bit
I'm just hoping this is the right way back to the others. I'm just a squishy wizard, I need some meatshields to take the hits for me!

Re: MotBM (OOC)
So... I think we should be taking up Thinks advice on keeping some kind of log somewhere on names and all that stuff.
Also the more I'm learning about this place, more I keep thinking about that old rpg maker horror game "Ib"... Then again I'm pretty sure it's not an unique subject.

How do you guys feel about continuing with the spoilers? Do you want to keep them or are they just excessive?

Re: MotBM (OOC)
I think we can probably avoid the temptation to use meta-knowledge to influence our characters. I defer to the others as to what they want to do.

Re: MotBM (OOC)
I'll be honest, I've been reading the spoilers for your guy's parts. I'm usually pretty good about ignoring meta-knowledge, so I didn't really feel the need to avoid it
And I was only spoilering my part in case any of you wanted to remain in the dark about Warryn's activities.

I'd say just leave the spoilers, because I feel like this is going to be a game we'll end up confused enough with spoilers, too...
