You could challenge yourself by making a character who is just a supremely chill dude.

Actually, I've had in mind a character who is largely a pacifist... But I suppose I could try to create a character who is not a complete arsehole.

Badge, have you ever considered just making a character who is fundamentally happy with their life choices* and nice to other people? :P

I have no problem with you being a player at all if you want to join :)

*As an adventurer of course, there's no point being a happy farmer or else you'd still be doing that :)

So, rolling for stats and level 5 if I read it right, and any books EE, SCAG or base are okay?

No, we're level 1 :)

I think any published material is fine, plus the DMs guild stuff DEM mentioned in the first post.

BadgeAddict: 4D6.HIGH(3) = [5, 4, 4, 5] = 14
4D6.HIGH(3) = [6, 5, 6, 3] = 17
4D6.HIGH(3) = [4, 5, 4, 5] = 14
4D6.HIGH(3) = [5, 2, 4, 1] = 11
4D6.HIGH(3) = [3, 4, 3, 5] = 12
4D6.HIGH(3) = [4, 2, 1, 5] = 11

Just starting at level one, but you can use any published Wizards material, including their Plane Shift stuff. Playtest material is probably okay too, so long as you swing it by me first, or if there's a DM's Guild race or class that you really like (and also swing by me first.) And you start with a free feat.

If you get in fast, as another survivor, it might work best from a story perspective, but take your time.

Do we have a spreadsheet up and running yet?

Name: Scat
Race: Kobold
Height: 2' 5"
Weight: 22 lbs
Description: Scat got his name by being the color of excrement, his skin, his eyes, his lack of hair. Thus, people tended to use his name to not only describe what he looked like, but also to get him away from them. Not that he cared because it means people tend to avoid looking at him, at least directly. This and the years of seeking to hide from the torment given to him by humanoids and even his own race gained him an uncanny skill in hiding, quite efficiently. Using this ability he learned that the fastest way to make ungodly amounts of money was to learn the secrets of those in power and sell or blackmail them to the highest bidder. He may be sneered at, given looks of disgust and generally hated, but Scat was smart, small and extremely fast and one day, he hoped he could retire.

Yes... "seeking to hide from torment" sounds like he's had a great time

Anyway, I'm just messing. Welcome to the game :)

He had a rough childhood, but he made the most of it. Most of his childhood tormentors are dead, he's had his revenge...life is wonderful.

It either allowed me to pick one additional skill and Thieves tools or two additional skills. I went with two additional skills, which is how I have expertise in 2 of my skills.

otherwise I'm not sure I know what you're asking.

I mean, everyone gets a free feat to start with. In part, I'm doing it to see how it affects balance, but it actually also fits story wise. Did you pick one?

You can still use any source, including unearthed arcana.

Well you do still need to fit the prerequisites.

And feel free to enter the thread at any time. You've entered the fray, though no one knows where you are yet.

I don't think I got clear confirmation, so made the choice that Trill knows the set of notes that her name comes from, but is picking up vocabulary along the way. It'll eventually probably become more descriptive than quotey, once she has the vocabulary to get that across.

Well, I didn't edit out the open for one more because the 5 max was a soft max. If you're in, come on in. :)

Synch: 4D6.HIGH(3) = [1, 3, 5, 6] = 14
4D6.HIGH(3) = [1, 6, 4, 2] = 12
4D6.HIGH(3) = [3, 1, 6, 3] = 12
4D6.HIGH(3) = [2, 2, 1, 6] = 10
4D6.HIGH(3) = [6, 3, 3, 6] = 15
4D6.HIGH(3) = [5, 2, 1, 6] = 13

Here's some numbers for you if you do. The sooner, the better. :)
