Gabe sees Sam's gesture. He looks dubious. "I'd rather go for the head, and I'm not sure how well suited I am to climbing this thing, but we can give it a try. Here goes nothing..." Gabe climbs up next to Sam, wedges the prybar a little more securely if he can, and, while Sam holds it in place from the middle, Gabe hits the far end as best he can.

August and Charlie and Sam and Enoch and Gabe and Ziou and Ursula vs Clankipede

Gabe, seeing August and Charlie contending with the 'business end', decides to run around to the back end, where he sees tiny Sam holding a pry bar against its back, urging him to hit it with his mace. Gabe hurries forward, clambering onto the clankipedes back to get near enough to Sam to strike the prybar. The clanks arms swing towards him, an arm from the right side of the clank grasping his right arm, an arm from the left side grasping his left leg, together they hold him suspended aloft, his right boot kicking ineffectually at the armored carapace. Sam's face falls in disappointment.

Ziou grabs Enoch's dropped saw and pliers and sprints forward to slap at it with a saw, and clak it with pliers. They leave a few minor scratches, but nothing of note.

August goes on the defensive, picking up his weapons and backing towards the fountain room. The clankipede's antennae wave about a bit, eventually locking onto him as he sidles towards the gate.

Charlie is uncertain what to do, so just stands at the ready and allows August to enact his plan.

Enoch rushes past the retreating August, trying to get to where he can smear some clay on the tips of the clankipede's antennae. His hand cupping a wad of clay makes contact with the left one, but it withdraws from contact and while he smears some down its length, he doesn't manage to get it on the tip.

Sam's plan fizzles before his eyes as Gabe gets grabbed by the arms, but seeing August run ahead and clanks large head move to follow makes him realize that where one plan fails, another begins. "Time to get off of this train." He says as he charges at the elbow holding onto Gabe's leg. He tries to throw all of his small weight into the elbow in the hopes that it gives way long enough for Gabe to free himself. But knowing the gates will be coming down, he doesn't run far enough to get trapped in their closing.

Sam tries to pull his prybar free, but its currently wedged under the plates. He once again ducks some arms attempting to grab him and throws his weight into the arm holding Gabe's leg. It's quite solid, and his momentum carries him off the back of the clank, the elbow deflecting but the hand maintaining its grip. The clank starts moving towards August, and Sam quickly rolls under the body of the clankipede, flattening himself out of the path of the clattering legs. As the armored underbody brushes past his nose, and the end of the clankipede moves past, he lets his held breath before popping back to his feet.

The clankipede, clattering forward bears down on Enoch and Ziou. Enoch avoids being pinned, but Ziou gets buffeted by its passing, mechanical legs knocking him into the wall and stepping on his feet. [Ziou takes 2 damage to 8/10 HP]
The clankipede rears up and slams its front arms down on August, who somehow manages to avoid the worst of it and is merely knocked to one knee, not taking any damage. The arms reach for him, but he manages to roll to the side.

Gabe struggles to free himself. He gets as good a grip as he can on the arms holding him. Using one as an anchor, he pulls on the other. "Can any of you guys help? If you can attack this arm, I might have a better chance to break free."

There are bolts and such associated with the joints of the legs, but from what Ziou's seen he'd probably figure it unlikely to stand still long enough for him to try to disassemble it.

Afterwards he will try to get some distance and remove the dart.

Enoch again tries to smear wet clay over the opening at the end of the antenna, grasping the antenna in an attempt to bend it down to get a better chance of success. He makes sure to avoid the gate if he is in the vicinity of where it would drop.

Sam follows the Clank, intent on freeing Gabe. He tries again to free the large man by attacking the arm that is holding on to his leg by ripping or knocking the arm loose from its fastening methods.

August and Charlie and Sam and Enoch and Gabe and Ziou and Ursula vs Clankipede

August scrabbles for the gate mechanism, and drops the gate on the clankipede once again. It isn't stuck as well as it was the first time, but it has certainly halted its progress for now. He yanks out the dart, tearing some of the flesh of his shoulder as he does. [August -1 HP to 8HP]

Charlie shuffles forward and hacks at one of the arms holding Gabe up.

Enoch, with the gates dropped, doesn't have easy access to the antennae.
