Well, I would run a 3x3x3, so it would take 9 players. I read large games are prefered, but I don't want to run a large all-in for my first attempt. I think 9 players are already quiet a lot, especially as we would need a third CTF-Player-Group for this game.
I actually liked the 3vs3, as it felt more like tactics can work out than random luck due to the sheer amount of chars running around.
But if you want to split the players into two groups so nobody has to watch while the others play, I could try to do a 2vs2vs2. But it would be hard to balance like I wrote before. Pats posted he would run a 3vs3, which I would enjoy to join.
So do we now start the sign-up for Pats game and mine, or do we want to continue to discuss what to do next? I'm up for both.

I say sign up and then vote what we want to do based on how many players we have. And 2v2v2 is too small. That's not enough players to have an effective team strategy. You would need at least 3 per team and I'd want 4 personally.

nope. There are feats allowing you to defnd and tackle while carrying the flag, but none that allow sprinting.
It's a good thing too (imho), as it gives the defending team a chance to regain the flag.

Yes, you can sprint with a flag. There's nothing saying you can't.
Of course, you have to be an attacker to sprint on an opposing half.

I thought the passage mentioned no sprinting, but... And I thought I remembered that one of the flag bearer feats allows sprinting with flag... But my memory is...
Sorry Burns, I was alteady editing my post while You answered...While carrying the flag, the player cannot Guard or Tackle and does not gain bonuses from skills or feats that doesn't concern flag carrying. If the flag carrier loses a tussle and is pinned, the flag is dropped. If no teammates are left standing in the square, the flag returns to its starting position. (It's a magic flag.) The flag may be dropped as a free action.
If the flag is carried back to your own half, the team gets 5 points! All players in the team that participated in the attack run (determined by referee) gets 3 exp. Additionally, anyone earning xp for participating in a flag run must return to their own half before touching the flag or earning xp as part of a flag capture again.
The game cannot end while a member of the losing team has the flag.

I'd be happy to run a 5v5, still trying to think of things to do for another mission, but I'll try to run one after the next match. Honestly I think the game is complicated enough with 2 teams, there's no need for the insanity that a 3v3v3 would bring.
