Not at all, I point you towards this comic strip in particular....Calvin is a bit short sighted when it comes to understanding things correctly. He is a child after all, and technically..it is a soap-box.

Head over to the place we don't speak about in public to a specific daily conversation and look up hyena and hospital. :)

....

Rules specifically state you cannot nominate yourself to have a rank change. Sorry Badge.

I was always curious as to why we would single out soap boxes in particular. Are they a particular size, were they especially available? It seems a weird association.

Yes, I know I can't nominate myself, I was simply testing the waters as to see if anyone would agree with my stance on myself.

I don't find you that much preaching.
And the custom titles should reflect what you did for the community, and in that Saves-a-Hyena is much better.
It fits this community, and reflects what you accomplished here.

Edit: removed quite a bit.
I am sorry, dear Badge. I am sorry, dear mods.
Reprimand understood. It was fully my fault.

No, this isn't the place to criticize. Also, Controversy! is an island. What people say and do there is not to be discussed outside the subforum, and especially not to be used against them. What happens there stays there. We need it that way so that people are safe to come forward with their ideas (as long as they follow the rules, of course).
Mostly offline/inactive due to chronic health issues. PM me if you really need attention.

True. This is their world and we just live here on their sufferance. Although they suffer some of us better than others. ;)

Some people just don't know how to cat. Thus half the people on the "My Cat from Hell" show.

Many people don't know how to cat. Even more people don't know how to dog. My friend, who works all day and isn't at home until the evening, has just gone out and gotten a border collie cross golden retriever puppy, against my expressed concerns. People, if you aren't home all day, don't go and get a puppy of one of the most active and intelligent breeds available that will require massive amounts of attention and exercise. I told him to kiss his lawn and shoes goodbye.

Anyways this probably doesn't belong here, sorry for wandering off topic!

This is why I don't have a dog...not because I don't want a dog...but that I have no time to take care of said dog... :|

1) That's going to be an adorable looking dog
2) That's going to be one frustrated owner if he doesn't give that puppy something to do!

This is coming from the owner of an Australian Shepherd. She didn't get her brain til she turned nearly 3 years old and she teethed on everything, especially expensive remotes. She really liked the cable remote. Also digging, chasing, running, fetching, herding, chewing, and tons other -ing verbs that made my Dad want to tear his hair out. She's going on 13 years old now and still thinks she's a puppy.

Back to the topic at hand though. :)

I feel you. I don't generally dog. Krysti has a sled dog. I've learned two things from this dog. 1. People do not know that Labrador is a place, so if I say "Labrador Husky" or "Labradorian Husky" they say, "but she doesn't look like a retriever..." Correct, she's not a retriever. Saying that she's a type of Husky from Newfoundland does not help. They don't know that's a place, either. 2. Never let her get off leash. You will never catch her, and you will get tired long before she does. That dog has more energy than I ever thought anything could have.

Note: I told you guys. Synch = pet whisperer.
