Tries spawns on L1 L2 and digs there.

@ Dave, would you rather have Stumbles NOT join the fight against the revenant? If you want to finish him on your own (the team that has assembled already), then that's alright, I can have Stumbles keep on revealing mine-free suqares. Just say so, please.
Because I would rather not get Stumbles stuck in that part of the map with nothing left to do, because the only reason he went there blew up... :roll:

We're not even sure it would work. Given Goska is weakened and the Revenant is heavy, it probably won't work. On the other hand, it will confirm if the tools can even be used in such a fashion. And I think that's a little better than sitting around doing little good, unable to repair the weakness for it to do any good, without a chance to heal anybody, as the Revenant chose not to attack this round, and probably unable to do any damage because I'm weakened this round.

@Stumbles:
You can perform melee attacks in any direction, just like flagging (and in same range as flagging). This is because I plan on throwing hard enemies at you guys, and it would be pain if you could only attack from 1 moving step. (Especially if there are walls and mines you don't want to step on).

Also, spawning on a map is a main action, so you surely cannot attack in the same turn. (I don't think anyone has a shout not on cooldown in that area.)

@Goska:
The weakness aura reduces attack damage / strength by 1 for anyone nearby. However, in these fights I sum up team damage instead of counting it individually (tried to hint at it in the previous turn post), this is to give you a chance (and make weapons useful). This of course means that unarmed players will still contribute 0 damage, but as soon as someone has a weapon (or a power token) will have at least 1 damage for the total, and now all you have to do is surpassing the armor. And of course, reduce life to 0. :D
Which of course also means that if you heal someone, even if at full health, they will have at least 1 damage for the turn, before the negated weakness reactivates at the end of it.

@Goska (2):
The Y-stick is a brittle piece of wood, so even if you tie it to the whip, it will broke if you try to grapple anything with it. By the way, in the shop you can read info about equipment you know already. (I have to add the flute and the sword after this round, though.) If you check the whip, it already has a bind target ability, mayhaps it could be used the way you want without trying to make a grapple hook out of it?

@ GM: Thanks for the clarification on the fighting.

Erm, in that case - and since Blitz Craig wants to charge, I think I'll have Stumbles spawn on E9, instead. I edited that in my previous post for the GM's convenience. :thumbsup:

@ Dave: That's fine, try what you want to do, but other than not wanting to be stuck with nothing to do, I also wanted to make sure I didn't make Stumbles butt in where he wasn't wanted. =)

I'm not sure we are talking about the same tiles. I thought you meant that Stumbles went into the upper-right corner of the map to mark K2.

Oh, I got it. You went for the revenant and your action will be pointless if it would blow up.

Of course, if the Revenant dies when she is on D9, she both gets to dig and gets to gather that wreath, which I imagine may be the key to finding out what is so special about the central statue. That is, if people would give enough time to place the wreath on the central statue.

Aaand one starts to wonder. What if the revenant does not die by a mere mine? Or that flower ring was there only to lure you guys into your demise by the revenant? >:D

Also, since you are the leader, you call when the map ends. :)

Goblins Minesweepers - A Grave Situation (Turn 16)

Post by LooksAndSmiles » Sat Mar 22, 2014 1:04 pm

Turn 16 >>Next Turn

Flags Mines proceeds to K9.
Stumbles around respawns on E9, well equipped.
Explore-Randomly spawns on K1, revealing a "2". +1XP
Questions Everything turns around and heads towards to L6.
Schnitzel continues to J5. Will he make it to the other end in time?
Tries-and-Dies spawns on L2 and promptly unearthes a "2". +1XP
Flags Fuses walks over to J1, finding a "2", too. +1XP

White Metal orders the rats to attack, and he attacks afterwards.
Oh See That Shiny attacks the revenant, too.
Blitz Craig assaults from below.
The three of them together manage to deal 3 damage to the revenant.

Goska uses yank on the revenant, but it's not super-effective. The skeleton is just too big and heavy to be moved around, maybe if about three of them tried to pull?

The revenant ignores the rats, and turns towards Blitz, who happens to be over its grave. It deals 2 damage. It also lets out a soul-freezing shire!

White Metal, Shiny, Goska, Blitz and Stumbles are stunned, and cannot act next turn.
White Metal, Shiny, and Stumbles feels weakened. Goska resists.

Dies can spawn!

The rats will disappear after next turn.

Yeah, the dice didn't really favor you nor Goska. On the bright side, it's not like the revenant could kill anyone in the next turn.

Blitz only gets 2hp damage thanks to his jacket, so unless the revenant has a special move up its sleeves it can't kill anyone. :) >:D :paranoia:
