Kaliss attempts to haggle with the shopkeeper ( Diplomacy 18.) but he's stalwart in his refusal telling the lizard he's already selling the bag a 50% discount. Even Shiro couldn't ask for more.

Kaliss pays 2 gold for the bag and rations for a week and then does what I wrote in my last post:
He will grab the backpack.
"If you want some rations too I can carry them. The backpack is old but it still looks like it can take a load." Kaliss offers to the rest of the group while he puts most of his few belongings into it except for his coins. He will keep those close where he can feel them.
