Warhammer 40k Only War

I'd love to get a game going on here. If you have a copy of the book that would help a great deal, otherwise I can explain at least the basics. The first thing is that if you want to play, your characters would all be part of a regiment, which you would create together by voting on different aspects of it. You guys would start as fresh recruits, your Regiment would be hand made by your group, then you would roll your Characteristics using the point system. Base 20s, and spend 100 points spread out among them, then apply the modifiers from Regiment and Specialty. So, if I can get at least 3 people interested I've got Regiment creation rules below for you guys to look over!

Generating the Regiment
You have 12 points to build the regiment. You guys should come to an agreement of what you want it to be, as all your characters will belong to the same regiment. After the regiment has been built you can move on to actual character creation. Some details on the choices can be found in the spoilers.

Well-Provisioned:Standard Regimental Kit: Increases the number of clips for their main ranged weapon and to the number of weeks' rations they carry as standard by +2. gain an additional grenade of each type in their standard kit, and if they contain a vehicle, Gain a +10 bonus on all Logistics tests to obtain fuel and parts for repairing and maintaining those vehicles

Favoured Weapons: Pick a favored Basic weapon and Heavy weapon for the regiment. This choice makes it easier for your regiment to request these weapons and ammo for them.

It is ok to have points left over, as every point not spent will add 2 points to the Additional equipment, which can be worked on as a group last. Additional equipment has a ton of options so this part will require more discussion. The expert 40k players and anyone with access to the book should probably take the lead for this part. Your base for Additional Standard Kit is 30 points.

After the regiment has been created, work together on fluffing it up, then we can move on to actual character creation. Other than picking your specialty and spending 600 experience for Guardsmen and 300 experience for Specialists, then fluffing everything, creating the individual members will be easier than designing the regiment.

Once the regiment has been created I'll post the official rules for generating your characters.

Light Sleeper:Always considered awake, even when asleep, for the purpose of Awareness Tests or surprise.
Lightning Reflexes:When rolling Initiative, roll two and add the higher roll to Agility bonus.
Resistance:Gain a +10 bonus when making Tests to resist the effect in ()s.
Hatred:Must make a Willpower test to retreat or surrender to the enemy in ()s, and gain +10 Weapon Skill against them when in melee.
Nerves of Steel:Character may re-roll failed Willpower Tests to avoid or recover from Pinning, and gains +10 to Willpower Tests to resist enemy Intimidation Skill attempts.
Sprint:When taking a Full Move action, the character can move an extra number of meters equal to their Agility Bonus. When Running, they may double their movement for one Round. If this Talent is used two Turns in a row, the character gains one level of Fatigue.
Air of Authority:When making Command Skill Tests, the character may affect a number of targets equal to 100 times their Fellowship Bonus, instead of the normal 10 times. When giving an Order to their Squad, the order's range is increased to 100 meters. Only affects non-hostile NPCs.
Peer:The character gains +1- on all Fellowship Tests when interacting with the group in ()s, and at GM's discretion may call on favors.
Heightened Senses:The character gains +10 to any Tests using the sense in ()s.
Paranoia:Character has +2 bonus on Initiative rolls and may secretly have their Perception rolled by the GM to notice hidden threats.
Unremarkable:Attempts to recall the character's face or spot them in a crowd suffer a -20 penalty. Also the character gains +20 when using the Decieve Skill to convince someone they have never seen or met the character before.
Street Fighting:When armed with a knife, similar small weapons, or bare handed, the character adds half his Weapon Skill Bonus to any Critical damage the character inflicts.
OrthoproxyThe character gains a +20 bonus to Willpower Tests made to resists mind control or interrogation.
Unshakeable Faith:May re-roll any failed Willpower Tests to avoid the effects of Fear.
Foresight:After spending 10 minutes studying or analyzing a problem, the character gains a +10 bonus to his next Intelligence Test or Skill Test based on Intelligence.
Rapid Reaction:When surprised or ambushed, a successful Agility Test allows the character to act normally.
Die Hard:When suffering from blood loss, the character may roll twice to avoid death.
Technical Knock:The character may unjam a weapon as a Half Action, but only may use on one weapon per Round.
Combat Sense:The character may use their Perception Bonus instead of their Agility Bonus when rolling Initiative.
Catfall:Reduce the the distance of all falls by a number of meters equal to the character's Agility Bonus, ignoring it. Also gain +20 to Acrobatics Skill Tests when using the Jump Special Skill Use as it pertains to reducing Damage from falling.
Rapid Reload:The character halves all reload times, rounding down. Half Action reloads become a Free Action, Full Round reloads become a Half Action, 2 Full Round reloads become a Full Round reload, and so on.
Combat Formation:All members of the Squad(including the character) add +1 to their Initiative rolls and any Squad member may use this character's Intelligence Bonus for their Initiative roll rather than their own Agility Bonus.
Double Team:When ganging up on an opponent, the character gains an additional +10 bonus to Weapon Skill Tests. If both characters ganging up on a target have this Talent, then both gain an additional +10, for a total of +20. This stacks with the normal bonus for ganging up.
Deadeye Shot:When making a Called Shot ranged attack, reduce the penalty by 10.

Ok, looks like we are going by a Hive World Regiment led by a Maverick CO, of the Drop Troops type with Hardened Fighter and Augmetics doctrines. Sniper Rifel is the Favoured Basic Weapon, but we have a tie between the Heavy Bolter and the M34 Autocannon for the Favoured Heavy Weapon. Please pick which, then we can move on to filling out the Regiments Additional Standard Gear.

Heavy Bolter it is then. Remember, you guys do not start with these weapons, you are't trained in them either (though being trained in solid projectile makes you trained in the Sniper Rifle, you will need Heavy and Bolt weapon training to use the Heavy Bolter without penalty). The Favoured weapons means that the weapons are kept in stock by your regiments Departmento Munitorum, so Logistics tests to get those weapons or ammo for them for a mission are done with a +10 bonus.
