Ok guys, my first game, let's see how it goes. I'm open to constructive criticism, if this goes well I have plans for other games.
Zombies!
A loud crash rings throughout your apartment, jerking you out of sleep. You sit up groggily, trying to remember what you were dreaming of just seconds ago. It was a good dream.
A sharp screech brings your mind fully into the real world. A fraction of a second later, a bloodchilling scream. What is going on? You go to your window and look out. What you see sends you reeling backwards. Fire. There's fire almost everywhere, with smoke blurring most of the view. You need to work quick, the fire will surely be spreading to this building soon. You are on the 3rd floor of a five story apartment building, located right in the middle of town. You hear noises coming from the other three rooms on this floor, the others must be thinking the same thing. You haven't had much contact with them, but you may need to rely on them in order to survive whatever's happening.
So this is how this works. The four of you have just woken up at the beginning of a zombie outbreak (shh, you don't know that yet though!). Due to your timely awakening, you have enough time to grab one item out of your apartment before leaving(good thing you slept in your clothes, eh?). After choosing your starting item, you all run out into the hallway, see eachother, and the game begins. Whether you work together or not is totally up to you. There will always be 4 players at a time, and a waiting list of players. When a player dies, that character is dead forever (maybe) and the next player on the waiting list is introduced into the game. Stay together, split up, it's all up to you. The ultimate goal is to escape the town. Players will have 6 base stats, with starting values of 1. Each player also gets 2 extra points to increase the stats as they choose. It may be possible to increase stats with other methods as well. There are two types of stats, automatic and manual. Automatic are always active, and manual needs to be used as an action. Ex:Strength is manual, you lift things or use melee weapons as an action, but perception is automatic, you automatically look at things, but you can also choose to look more carefully as an action.
The stats are as follows:
► Show Spoiler
Strength-Physical strength. This applies to lifting, pushing, doing damage with melee weapons, you get the idea. Players with high strength can move obstacles, deliver devastating punches, lift other players, stuff like that.
Endurance-Pain threshold. This is how much punishment you can take before dying (un-dying?), how long you can sprint before becoming winded, and higher levels of endurance keeps infection at bay for longer
Perception- Higher perception lets you find important or useful things faster, and pick out signs of infection sooner (skin getting pale, eyes bloodshot, etc). Can also sometimes be used to see through a players or NPCs bluff.
Intelligence-This mainly deals with electronics. Hacking computers, using electronics, etc.
Agility-Faster reflexes, you can perform more acrobatic moves like jumping, sprinting faster, dodging attacks, keeping your balance or catching yourself if you accidentally fall.
Luck-Affects pretty much everything. Finding certain items, dodging an unexpected trap or attack, and the like.
So, I'll leave signups open for 24 hours, and then I'll randomly pick 2 players for starting characters (two spots were already reserved). The rest will be sorted into a waiting list. After that, it's first come first serve to be put at the ottom of the waiting list. Once the players are chosen, they allocate their 2 stat points, choose their starting item, and begin.
Starting items:

Baseball bat
Frying pan
Can of spraypaint(20 uses)
Roll of ducttape(10 uses)
Antibiotic gauze(3 uses)
This will be a mainly text based game, but I may provide visuals when/if required. Also, please keep in mind that this is my first game, so things might be a bit rocky at first. I will try to update at least twice a week. Once I have a solid schedule, I'll post it here. If all the players submit their actions early, then I'll try to update early as well.Like I said, I am open to constructive criticism, so if you have an idea that you think would make the game better or easier to manage, please let me know. Have fun, and good luck!
