The girlÔÇÖs expression darkens then, as she starts to move towards the door, making sure sheÔÇÖs not moving too fast for her Pok├®mon, ÔÇ£But no one should have to change who they are. Not for any reason.ÔÇØ ThereÔÇÖs a bit of venom in the girlÔÇÖs voice, and if Rae follows along, sheÔÇÖs likely catch the flash of angerÔÇöand hurtÔÇöin the younger TrainerÔÇÖs yellow eyes.

Rae looks down to Sam... Then she nods slightly.

"Yes... Everybody should have the right to choose who and what he or she wants to be... If nothing other, your self should belong to you..."

A moment, the older girl sounds a little melanchonic... And her eyes seem to be far, far away, in another universe, another life, another time maybe... Then she focuses again and coughs.

"Any plans what you want to do next ?"

ÔÇ£Some of us donÔÇÖt choose. Some of us just are,ÔÇØ Samantha states evenly, before opening the door and letting Sprout exit first, then stepping out and continuing to hold the door open until Rae clears it before letting it close.

ÔÇ£For the moment?ÔÇØ Sam replies with a slight shrug, ÔÇ£IÔÇÖm going back to our room. ItÔÇÖs been a long dayÔǪ and the Pok├®Dex seemed to imply that Charcoal and Max could be really good friends, though IÔÇÖm not quite sure what that means.ÔÇØ

She sighs and shakes her head, And tomorrow I need to think of ways to make sure yesterday doesnt repeat itself Staying indoors doesnt help things along, and asking for trouble from battling other Trainers just gets you it.

The girl starts to make her wayÔÇöalmost by instinct after all the Days spent in VespersÔÇötowards the tree which houses the rooms for visiting Trainers.

Rae doesn't respond to Sams deeply philosophical sentence, but keeps it in her mind, as it seems.

Then she nearly nods again, before her mouth opens and her eyes widen a little. Did she really not know how... Oof. What the hell did her parents think, lettingh er travel without... Ah. Screw it. SHE wouldn't be the one to explain that knowledge. Nono. That wasn't her job. She had had enough stress with Sam for one day, too. No need to creep her out again. Yes, yes.

"Oh, ahm... I am sure, they' ll decide themselfs if they like each other or not. About battling... I disagree. I was outside... And it is really dangerous. Both I and my team should be well-trained before I head out again... And training against other trainers is the safest way to do that... If you know your lines. And I don't have a room, too."

She smiles slightly. "I'd like to meet you again, though..."

After Rae has departed from Sam, she will search for another battle, using her Dex - Or another pokemon, if one shows itsself in the city borders.

Sam looks a little confused, then nods and moves towards the tree, recalling Sprout before climbing the steps.

When she gets to her room, she releases Max and Charcoal, scratching them both behind the ears and slowly rubbing her recently-hatched Pok├®mon along his back.

ÔÇ£I know you donÔÇÖt like new things all that much, Max, but this is Charcoal, and my Pok├®Dex said you might get along. IÔÇÖm going to curl up in my bed and leave you both out, okay? If you need me, just come and wake me up!ÔÇØ

The girl gives both Pok├®mon a smile, giving Charcoal a bit of her leftover supper, then heads to bed, asleep shortly after.

Bennet falls asleep with the happy hum from his Starly filling his ears.

No sooner does he fall asleep when he is woken up by two loud voices coming from the front of the Pokecenter.

ÔÇ£I can't I don't have the abilities to help here.ÔÇØ The distinct voice of Nurse Hallam is heard.
ÔÇ£You need to at least try!ÔÇØ Another voice, slightly familiar to Bennet, replies.
ÔÇ£Quiet, there are trainers sleeping here.ÔÇØ Bennet barely manages to make out.

As Kilf listens he hears the sound of something sniffing and shuffling ahead of him. Probably just around the next bend in the tunnel.

ÔÇ£Let's jump it. With the both of us taking it by surprise it can't possibly stand the attack.ÔÇØ The girl whispers to Kilf, a determined look set on her face.

As Rae looks at her pokedex hoping for another trainer, the 'Dex continues to show a blank map, aside from her own dot that is.

Walking through the dark town Rae manages to find herself on the North-Western edge of Vespers. As she turns around to head back into the town she hears a soft scratching sound coming from the base of one of the numerous trees surrounding town.

2nd Day, First Month, Year 1694 [13:26]

ÔÇ£Ha! That little thing? Watch this Curtis.ÔÇØ Malcolm sneers as Sandy appears on the field.

Richard's pokedex announces, "Sandshrew, the mouse pokemon. While not the only mouse type pokemon, this one is specifically noted for it's defensive capabilities, along with it's choice to live in hot, arid climates."

No sooner does the pokedex finish, Malcolm shouts ÔÇ£Shrew use poison sting!ÔÇØ

The sandshrew opens his mouth and launches purple spikes at Sandy, the spikes shatter mere inches in front of Sandy's face.

Sandy then slumps slightly as she beads of sweat appear on her forehead. Breathing heavily from the energy needed to protect herself, she shakes slightly trying to prepare herself for the next attack.

Sam is rudely awoken when when a small black and brown ball of fluff decides to jump onto her chest.

Looking around the room, Max is still to be found lying in a corner where she must have fallen asleep last night. Charcoal on the other hand... Had a very productive night. Having managed to pull off the beds covers, he made himself a warm bed in the center of the room. And now having decided that's it's time for everyone to wake up hops off of Sam and goes to gently nudge Max awake.

Aah-ouch! Sam yelps as shes brought to consciousness, quickly spotting the ball of fur. Oh Charcoal

Looking around, she finds herself more than a little chilly and notices that she no longer has all the covers that sheÔÇÖd snuggled beneath the night before.

Picking up the pup, she kisses the top of his head and scratches him behind the ears, ÔÇ£Are you hungry, Charcoal? We can get you all something to eat at the Pok├®mon Centre, but then I should get to the Pok├®Mart and see what they have for sale for Pok├®mon belliesÔǪÔÇØ

Looking towards the previously sleeping Pansear, the girl places a hand gently on her Starters shoulder. Oh, Max Did you not want to make friends? Its okay. Well let you get to know each other in the daytime. It probably helps to make new friends if you can play with them, right?

She then heads out of the tree, holding Charcoal in her arms and letting Max walk beside her as they make their way towards the Centre. The Trainer is blissfully oblivious to any innuendoes she might have dropped.

No, I remembered. But Sam wasnÔÇÖt waking up before 8 hours had passed. If that doesnÔÇÖt count, thatÔÇÖs fine. My rule had been that they need to be undisturbed (and without other Pok├®mon nearby) for 8 hours, but this is your game now.

Also, Max is a girl and Charcoal is a boy.

25% of 56 is 14, so Sam healed up the 10 HP from the attempt to Channel Sprout, right? Unless the lack of covers means she didnÔÇÖt sleep well. (In that case she would have only healed 5 HP.)

The girl, having leanred something of previous mistakes, approaches slowly... After she has sent out Skorpan as a backup, while Albrecht is still on her shoulder.

"You stay behind", Rae whispers to the Sentret. "Do a Defense curl and secure our back if it is dangerous."

Then she carefully heads nearer to the noise, eyeing around.

Biggs appears beside Klif, looking around he lets out a subdued "Laax."
Eyeing the Munchlax ÔÇ£OK, on three. One, Two, Three!ÔÇØ

As they both rush around the corner they are confronted by a small black pokemon. With large claws where its fingers should be. It stares at the two trainers, eyes wide and mouth slightly open.

ÔÇ£Huh... So much for a big pokemon.ÔÇØ She says looking at the pokemon that only comes up to Klif's waist.

As Rae carefully slinks around the tree, Skorpan catches up with Rae, now covered in a light sheen.

After getting half-way around the tree Rae sees three orange pokemon... That appear to have mushrooms on their backs? They don't appear to have taken notice of Rae and her team yet.

The sandshrew goes rushing at Sandy slicing her along the side. Sandy lets out a cry of "Myyyyyy!" As the sandshrew stops behind her, Sandy whips around and rushes at the sandshrew, but promptly falls on her face.

The girl nips her lower lip, ÔÇ£I was hoping that I might be able to feed my Pok├®mon, then head back to the room to clean up before I cleared and washed the dishes in the Orphanage?ÔÇØ

If the pup continues to squirm, the girl gives him another scratch behind the ears then sets him down, keeping a close eyes on him and Max both.

Rae eyes the pokemon curiously, then slowly tilting her head. They didn't look very strong. But strange ! - They dragged her curiousity. It looked like a crab mixed with a plant... maybe a Water/Pklant-type ? But what would that do in the middle of the city ? Well... Maybe the outer appearance fooled her ?

She pointed her Dex at the largest of the three and scanned it, while albrecht hopped from her shoulder and placed himself in front of his trainer... Just in case.

If the pokemon don't attack, Rae will also scan one of the smaller cousins of the big Mushroom. She wasn't eager for a fight, still sore from yesterday, but she would defend herself if necceccary.

Bennet is woken up by the loud chirping of Quickstart. No sooner does his eyes open when the entire bed shakes violently.

A loud clicking is heard from under the bed, as the bed shakes once again.

The pokemon takes a step back as Kilf raises his pokedex to scan it.

Biggs takes a step forward and a silvery sheen covers his body as he hunkers down. Once this happens the pokemon turns around and bolts towards the front of the cave.

"Sneasel. The sharp claw pokemon, Sneasel is smart and sneaky Pok├®mon. A pair may work together to steal eggs by having one lure the parents away. it is known for being very vicious and won't stop attacking until its foes are incapable of moving."

ÔÇ£Huh... Well then.ÔÇØ Looking over at Kilf, ÔÇ£Let's keep going.ÔÇØ

Making it to the exit of the cave the girl says ÔÇ£Well thanks for warning me about the big "scary" pokemon. But I've got places to go.ÔÇØ With that she makes her way due south.

"Parasect. The large mushroom pokemon, preferring damp places this bug-grass combination is said to be completely controlled by the large mushroom on its back. This pokemon is also known for gathering in large groups and feeding off of trees nutrients. Until they die in which as a group they move on to another tree."

The pokemon continue to ignore the trainer and her pokemon as Skorpan curls back into a ball once again.

Raising the pokedex to scan the smaller of the orange pokemon, "Paras, the mushroom pokemon. When born the pokemon is doused in spores from the parents mushroom. The mushrooms growing on its back grow alongside their host, drawing nutrients from the pokemon itself."

ÔÇ£Pfff, Shrew let's mess with him. Use sand-attack.ÔÇØ Malcolm says quite happily.

The sandshrew reaches down and swipes at a pile of sand, causing sand to fly straight at Sandy. Sandy watches it fly over her head, then looking at the sandshrew smiles and rushes forward, slamming full force into the yellow rodents body. Knocking him to the ground, where he doesn't get back up.

ÔÇ£Shrew! Hmpf, fine then come on back.ÔÇØ Malcolm returns his sandshrew. ÔÇ£Alright, come on out.ÔÇØ

Malcolm sends out a small white segmented pokemon, that appears to have two antennas/whiskers hanging from the front of its face. But most noticeable of all are the two claws it has.

With a knowing smile, ÔÇ£I'm sorry about that. Babies are quite a handful. Now if you would please place your pokedex in the slot I can bring some food up front for your pokemon.ÔÇØ

Once the girl puts her pokedex in the slot Nurse Hadassah presses a few buttons on the computer, then moves into the back room.

She walks back out carefully balancing four bowls of food in her arms, ÔÇ£Here you go. And just a little reminder, babies tend to act a bit... Exuberant from time to time. You might want to keep a close eye on that one.ÔÇØ She says pointing at Charcoal who is currently exploring the Centre.

"Way to go Sandy! Return. Come on out Midnight! Fly up as high as you can and Gust it!" Richard gets ready to scan it next turn.

Sam readily places the Pok├®Dex into the slot, and takes one bowl at a time from woman, placing it on the ground before taking another, clearly concerned that she might trip, or drop them, or both.

ÔÇ£IÔÇÖm starting to understand that, Nurse Hadassah. I think...ÔÇØ Samantha agrees with a small smile before setting down the last bowl and going to pick up Charcoal. ÔÇ£WeÔÇÖre going to get you and Max fed, and T.H. and Sprout can have their turn. Then youÔÇÖll all have to rest for a bit in your Pok├®Balls until I get my chores done, okay?ÔÇØ

When the pup and the monkey are done eating, the girl recalls them then sends out her two-headed bird and blue-blub. After everyone is fed, she stacks the bowls and sets them on the edge of the counter. Releasing Max in case anything thinks a young girl is worth attacking, she makes her way to her room and recalls her Pansear before climbing the tree.

When the room is in order, Sam will then release Max outside again. Her intention is to get to the Center, pick up those empty bowls then get to the Orphanage and stars clearing table to do the dishes, then sweep and mop the floors.

Raes eybrow first raises, then she looks a little repelled. "Mind-controlling plants... Ugh. That sounds as one of these "Tentacle-in-your-head-seeding-spores"- Story..."

She eyes her Pachirisu, then Skorpan. "What do you think, boys ? A liiiittle to creepy for our team, hu ? I wouldn't really want to sleep near the bigger one..."

"Pachi- Risu !", Albrecht states, clearly standing over such minor setbacks as mind control. "Sen...tret...", Skorpan adds... He seems to be watching the other pokemon carefully. But then, he always does.

"Thats what I thought... Okay, lets move on. Its just after 3... We will likely soon find another trainer or a... Less creepy pokemon."

She gives the "Mushrooms a careful nod, about the same care with which an intelligent being would nod to an Illithid.

Then she will head on, more or less towards the direction of the gym.

I'd love to send out Artemis and make use of that double-fire-weakness... But that wouldn't be good RP as Rae has no reason. So, I am going to move on, as she doesn't want to catch them and there isn't a reason to attack.^^

"Hmmf... well I guess it's better we didn't see it," Klif pouts.

"W-wait! You don't wanna have a pokemon battle? But... I guess without Li'l Green there wouldn't be much point - he was the one that needed training.... Guess I'll see ya later then!"

Klif makes his way back to town and the Pokemon Center, with Biggs as his escort. He keeps the trainer finder on his Pokedex turned on, just in case.

Looking under the bed at Hard case he clicks his mandibles at Bennet. Hard Case shakes the entire bed once again as his legs slide against the ground. Causing Quickstart to take off from the bed post and flap wildly about the room until he comes to a landing on the lampshade.

That's when Bennet realizes, Hard Case is stuck.

ÔÇ£Yeah... Maybe some other time.ÔÇØ The girl says over her shoulder. With a short wave she continues off into the wilderness.

As Kilf walks with Biggs not far behind he notices something standing beside a large rock. Upon closer examination it looks similar to a horse, but with some sort of a black ball where its tail should be.

"Munch." Biggs says pointing between it and Klif.

The Parasect turns just in time to see the nod, and carefully watches as Rae walks away from the three pokemon.

As Rae walks through the town once again casually glancing at the 'Dex for other trainers it continues to just show her dot on the map.

When Rae finally makes it to the Gym, the doors silently slid open as she approaches. Upon entering the gym a man approaches her, "Is everything alright?" he asks looking her up and down.

ÔÇ£Damn it! Use scratch before it can get away!ÔÇØ Malcolm shouts as Midnight appears.

Curtis's eyes go wide as he looks at Malcolm, ÔÇ£Y-You cussed...ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£Oh shut it Curtis, it's not like my Mom is going to find out.ÔÇØ Malcolm replies.

Midnight spreads her wings to take off into the skies, but before she can take off the pokemon is already right next to her scraping her leg with one of its claws. Yet Midnight hardly seems phased as she takes off into the sky and with a mighty flap sending a small tornado at the pokemon slamming it down onto its stomach, where it remains. Unconscious.

"Nincada, the Trainee pokemon. Nincada tend to live underground, absorbing nutrients from the roots of nearby plant-life. It remains motionless that way until it's ready to evolve." Richards pokedex speaks after Midnight lands back beside Richard.

ÔÇ£Worthless pokemon. Go Spheal.ÔÇØ Richard says recalling his Nincada and sending out his Spheal.

3rd Day, First Month, Year 1694 [5:32]

Watching the pokemon eat for a few minutes the Nurse heads into the back room to do some work. Each pokemon happily eats the food given to them, though it's fairly obvious that they would prefer something else.

With Max in tow Sam heads back to "her" room, when she reaches the tree though there appears to be a new door header, a bright pair of semi-translucent yellow, blue, red, and black wings seems to have been placed above the door. That is until the pokemon they belong to crawls down unto the door itself.

The pokemon looks at the young trainer with two large blue eyes, "Tiii?"
