The Horde, round 61 (Looking for a Temp player)

Skips praises her rat for being so diligent and teachable, and names her "Bites Ropes". (Bites for short; also, does the rope biting on command count as a 'trick'?)
Then she stands by to help any of the others, if necessary, rescuing Koughs, by healing him, or helping to move him, or healing anyone else that gets hurt, ...
If there is no need for any of this, she'll mediate, instead.
Bites (the rat) trains to climb the walls some more.

Not to derail this thread, but big charges can still ground out trough air. And Koughs will be connected in series, not in parallel. This will result in strong current passing trough him, most probably leading to death. Actually resulting current through him will be stronger, than with him touching ground.

Well, I won't say "I'm sorry" for trying to use my brain to come up with creative, unusual solutions. It's just what I do (using my brain). ^^

But yeah, thank you for pointing out about BIG charges. With the chain lightning, though, I would assume that the victims more often than not stand on the ground, while getting electrocuted. But there are exceptions to that, and the spell still seems to work fine, I guess...

So... maybe making a vacuum might help? Give the electrons literally nothing to to jump to? Only that would pose a problem to our chars, who kind of need to breathe... Hrm, back to the drawing board, I guess.

Ouch hurries up the ladder and takes a hold of Koughs, not thinking so much about comfort he drags the kobolt over the floor and hurries down the ladder "bbbrrrzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZ" the statues begin to recharge! Had it not been for Ouch, Koughs had not made it away... Ouch is not even sure he would be fast enough to get all the way up to the next level without getting buzzed!

Speed vise, Skips and Koughs would be able to run to third floor, if sprinting all they can (still small chance of failure). Maybe Sammael and Ouch could do it, but not for sure (Medium chance of failure), and Ma'amin would probably not be able to do it, at least not with his armor on (really high chance of failure with armor, medium-high without)

Ma'amin hurries over to his two friends and uses his most powerful healing magic on the kobold, restoring him to full health!

Waiting until the lightning has fired, Koughs climbs the ladder and fires a arrow putting maximum power into it with the help of his magical arm, and fires it into the the statue on the right side, before climbing down again

I haven't heard anything from him. He's only my hubby in the forum family tree, after all.

But I'd like to vote on bob's char: to try and reset the trap door over the pit, so if any hostiles (that can't fly or float) come through that door next turn, they have a nice surprise waiting for them. But first, borrow rope and tie himself to the ladder as a safety precaution, if necessary.

Koughs fires an arrow into the right side statue, the arrow, empowered by her magical arms penetrates the statue, she will have to wait a little to see if it had any effect!

Sammael starts to look more at his skull, not much is to say, as he knew, it was non human, had fangs, blue markings and some dark energy in it... hmm... the energy amount seem to have increesed since he took the thing... or does he remember wrong? it does not feel like it increasing, or even as if there is any energy it could increase from?

When/if the lightning ends, Skips tells Bites to stay on this floor, while she climbs up the ladder, runs across the corridor and climbs up the next ladder to the floor two levels above her, trying to brace herself for whatever these statue have in store for her.

If the lightning lasts the whole turn, Skips casts some helpful, protective spell (anti-magic, protection from magic or protection from electricity, whatever we have) on herself and runs, anyways, additionally trying to dodge the bolts as she goes.

Bites practices climbing the bare walls some more.

Sammael, seeing what Skips is attempting to do, adds a few general wards and protections of his own to her anti electricity spell(If she casts one), and tries to get her to take one of the tables with her in her backpack, but he understands completely if the tablet is too heavy.

Koughs meditates and awaits the effect of her arrow, and an effect she got! Now, instead of recharging whenever someone walks up the ladder, it now shoots lightning at random targets all hte time... on hte good side, they do not look and sound as strong as the old ones!

Skips, seeing this as a good thing, throws protective spells on herself, enforced by wards Sammael makes, and then she runs for it! She does not evade the lightning completely, but between the randomness of the power of it after the damage and the magical protection, she only suffers mild damage! She gets to the next floor... sort of... this seems really wrong! Some how, she can see herself looking at her... byt.. she can see it from both sides! SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHO SHE IS!!!

Skips heals herself, scratches her head, turns around and examines the statues, and/or whatever is appearing out of their hands. If it is fired, she tries to dodge it (both of her). If she still can do something else, she'll examine the spikes on the floor/ceiling.

Bites keeps on training to climb the bare wall.
