Sluj, concerned by the javelins, shuffles along with Slem.
My game:
Hunters of Letrua; Character list
Also Player / Monster stats, skill lists.

My characters:
Tugs Tails, the goblin that was sort of a trapper and wears a bear's tail at his neck, for some reason - Lair of the Mountain King (Run by Thinks)
Alex Sparo, A city boy, poor of sight, who has learned to manipulate people and make the most of what he, and others, have - Trinity Isles (Run by Mort)
Mehriv Turajin, a Noble Dragonborn Sorcerer sent from his clan because he wasn't dragony enough. - The Wandering Archipelago (Run by Thinks)

<If one pokes it's head in, grab'm and close the portal!>

Underslem prepares to grab or turn off the portal.

((Oh, guess you did say that... but you'd have had to popped your head through to get the telepathy to work.))

((If that was required to use the telepathy it would have been doing that. I can't imagine is would make it anymore odd.))

You all wait on Master's tower side of the portal, but no one comes through. It would seem that they were put off by Slem's attempt to lure them through?

Gomz waits tensely for a few moments, then fixes Slem with a piggy eye. <<Slem thinks too much with his stomach. We're supposed to be looking for the master.>>

<You know where Master is? I certainly don't. Master is maybe through one of the portals? And we need to keep up our strength!>

Underslem's belly growls to underline it's argument.

The portal opens into night, the air is cool and dry, hard bare rock stretches ahead of them, and a dusty scent fills the air. There does seem to be wildlife about.

Fred is disappointed that they didn't get any winged people into the trap...

Fred looks about wondering <Which one of us can see in the dark? I think the small armed one can...>

Underslem goes out and starts checking the new environment for opportunities.

((Yes, it's much rockier and scrubbier than the previous desert, though still dry, is cooler in the night air. There comes a cry of something nearby... abruptly cut off.))

<That could have been Master! Let's go.>

Underslem licks its lips in anticipation and heads in the direction of the cry.

<Sluj, you want to check that out first?>

<I go!> Sluj goes ahead to search for the sounds, but is clearly still not too good at this.

Gomz looks doubtful, shakes it's piggy head, and warily follows at a discreet distance, hoping that whatever is out there won't find a big pig to be terribly out of place for this location.

Sluj stays fairly hidden, but doesn't see much more than some disturbed ground in the distance.

The disturbed ground seems to be tracks or drag marks of something, and it either goes that way... or that way.
