Fred notes to the others <I hear sound of effort near by...can any of you be sneaky in that direction?>

And indicates from where he hears the sound...
Really...why are you reading this?

Gnomz sighs. <Alright.>

stealth: 1D20+4 = [12]+4 = 16

Gnomz makes a bit more effort this time to be sneaky.

Gomz heads through the underbrush and sees a trio of long cylindrical animals, their noses ending in a blunt snout with two big nostrils and a short tail on the opposite end that waves about. They don't seem to have fur so much as bristly hairs covering their body and they grunt and snort while rooting around in the leaf litter.

Gnomz looks critically at the creatures and stays still and hidden for the moment. He spends some time analyzing the creatures to determine what they are.

They don't have any claws or fangs that he can see, and just seem to be nuzzling at the ground. Not clear how good they'd be as a fighting form, but they might be good eating.

<Where! Should we sneak?>

Underslem readies a firebolt and sneaks after Gnomz. Or at least it tries.

The animals blissfully unaware, continue rooting about in the loamy soil, eating buts of what they find...

Underslem's belly rumbles. Underslem warms a firebolt in its hand and messages!

<Let's get them!>

Firebolt!: 1D20+4 = [16]+4 = 20
1D10 = [3] = 3

((I am assuming the others are pretty close by? Slem isn't attacking the three if it is completely alone with them.))

(( I can't remember Gnomz's bonus, but here's the raw roll))

1d20 = [7] = 7

Gnomz is not convinced of the wisdom of this action and hesitates....

The meaty cylinders continue snorting and ambling about, when the crackle of flames disturbs them as one is hit in the hind quarters by Slem's firebolt. One of them squeals in distress, staggering a bit, as the others snort and whirl about, looking for where danger may have come from.

scimitar attack: 1D20+4 = [8]+4 = 12

Noting that the fleshy tube animals are bigger than him and now look VERY angry, Gnomz timidly hides behind his shield and pokes halfheartedly with his sharpie, more interested in not getting gored than in looking for a meal. "It's bad, bad, bad, bad! It's very, very bad!" he mutters to himself.

:tongue:
scimitar damage: 1D6+2 = [4]+2 = 6

Nobody is more surprised than Gnomz when his halfhearted stab connects with the nearest piggy....except maybe the piggy.

Gomz manages to slash the critter, which squeals and it and its brethren wheel away from the party to run into the underbrush.

((Gomz can take an opportunity attack.))

Surprised, Gnomz nonetheless winds up at takes another crack at the piggy.

scimitar attack (opportunity): 1D20+4 = [9]+4 = 13

scimitar damage: 1D6+2 = [5]+2 = 7

He does surprisingly well.

A surprised Gomz finishes off the piggy as the other squeal away into the undergrowth.

A deep grunting snort rattles the shrubbery from the direction they are fleeing...
