Pokemon OoC Chatter, Stats, Ect.

This is the OOC thread for the Pokemon Amethyst RPG game (which can be found here).

Homerules

Pokeballs
- You may only have six active Pokeballs (i.e. Pokeballs containing captured Pokemon) on your person at any one time. This does mean you can have six contained Pokemon and one or more released without problem, however if you recall any of the released Pokemon, you must send one Pokemon to the storage system. Failure to do so may result in uncontrollable release of Pokemon, irreparable damage to the Pokeball, or both, at the GM's discretion.
- Pokeball throw distance is 5+STRmod, minimum 5. This distance applies to releasing Pokemon too (recalling Pokemon can happen at any distance, within reason). Throw distance can be increased by telekinesis - however, this also means it may be reduced or redirected by unfriendly Psychics or Psychic Pokemon.


Switching Pokemon
- Switching a conscious Pokemon for another will give the new Pokemon delayed initiative, putting it last regardless of speed. If multiple Pokemon are switched in with delayed initiative, then their action order is determined by their speed relative to each other. However Pokemon with the Stall Ability will always go last, regardless of how many Pokemon have delayed initiative.
- If a Pokemon is at 1%/1Hp or less, then it can be switched out without invoking the initiative delay for its replacement. Shedinja's are the sole exception to this rule.


Status Effects
- You may attempt to self-cure Paralysis on a roll of 17-20 instead of shifting and/or moving that turn. For Electric and Dragon types, the roll is 14-20.

Abilities
- Last Chance, and all type variations, have been removed from the game.

Evolution
- When a Pokemon evolves from Pokemon A to Pokemon B, it may learn all the moves on Pokemon B's level-up movelist that could be learned before its current level. However it can only learn one per level, in the order that they would be learned naturally. The only exception is if they could learn another move at that level, in which case it takes priority. E.g. a Lv21 Eevee evolving into a Vaporeon will learn Aurora Beam immediately upon evolution, then Water Gun at Lv22, and finally Water Pulse at Lv23, before returning to the normal level-up list.
- Evolved Pokemon cannot learn moves on their pre-evolution's level-up movelist, unless it is taught via another method.
- Evolution Stones do not automatically evolve the Pokemon in question. They must be a sufficiently high-level and have bonded with their trainer first. Exact requirements are decided by the GM, on a case-by-case basis.
- Eevees do not need an Evolution Stone to evolve, however the process is significantly more likely at early levels if they are given one. This homebrew rule only counts for Eevees - all other Pokemon that have an Evolution Stone requirement must still be given the specific Stone needed to evolve.


Battle
- You can hit underground targets with any ranged attack, provided they're within range, but they're treated as if they were invisible (i.e. Moves targeting them require +4AC to hit). The only exception to this rule is for Pokemon with the Stealth (or Blender) capability, which are treated as if they were in Rough Terrain and therefore are untargetable as long as they're underground.

I think that's all the stats. So was I blind, or did Burns never acctually give us a list of pokemon that GenCo want's to catch. I didn't see one, but I could have missed it.

We got a list of ones they didn't want. Everything else is something they don't have yet, so they want us to get them for them.

As for where the list is, I'm not sure if it got moved over or not. You'll probably find it if you just search the old forum a little.

Bas is only 40xp from level 10, and Headbutt. Which should be pretty hilarious - 3d8+22 (25-46) damage, plus 25% flinch, every other turn.
She's going to be hitting like an absolute truck >:D

Don't worry, things will slow down the higher we go. In fact, that's a large part of the Exp system - low level pokemon level-up much faster than they do at higher levels.

Lets see.....tackle would be 1d12+6+1, flail would depend on how damaged it was, but it is still likely to destroy you because as a wild pokemon it would have a lot of hp, and even using super effective it can survive for a long time....and flail can get nasty with 5d10+20+1 for max. If it was a trainers pokemon it would have higher attack due to that being it's only aggressive stat, along with def.

And that's not even a sweeper 'karp. ...which I guess is now what I need to build.
