Characters reactions when you do not have time to post:
When will he attack? When a Monster is within range that he can damage he will attack with ranged weapon (unless its skeleton) unless he is down to 1 knife, he will otherwise engage in melee when with a fellow goblin
When will he retreat? When he has 3 or less hp or is by himself against multiple enemies
When and What powers will he use? He currently has no powers he will use
Who will he follow? Since they seem to work so well together he will follow Lurk

I wasn't saying you had to do extra work for the mashup. I was saying the Charlie game seemed to me like it gave an explanation for zombies. So, maybe the BBEG is the same.

Attacks are calculated by taking all attacks and add them together, than subtract DEF.
we have 2 skeletons that do 1 damage each and a archer skeleton that deals 3 damage with his bow. thats 5 DMG. Win has 2 DEF so he looses 3 HP.

Oh... forgot to give him and scold XP... will fix..

I see. I thought defence applies to each attack separately.

No... I thought of that.. but this model have been proven to work well, and allow for character progression, without eliminating all threads.
Say... 1 zombie is not much of a thread to any of you, only 1 ATT.. (okay, you have no DEF, but you are a ranged character) but 1000 zombies could defeat everyone... but with the other system... 1000 zombies still could not touch 3 out of 4 characters in this party.. see the point? :)

You simply declare to use it, then i remove one EP from you and the effect happens.
In you case Break locks opens a chest or a door with 100% guarantee (unless its magical to), and detect Traps will show you a mark on the map where all traps in 5 square radius is....

What I mean is how exactly they work. Can I cast Break locks in advance? Does Detect traps require LoS?

No, break lock must be done infront of the lock you want to break.
Detect traps do not require line of sight. I will show you every trap in the 5 square radius (except magicaly hidden once) like this:

Hmm... A quick note... It seems i have been a bit unclear on how many actions/moves/attecks and such you guyes has each turn... so i have updated the Movement list... here is the new one... if there are any questions please ask :)

Combat
Each round, a character can perform one of the following:
-move up to their speed in squares and attack.
-move up to their speed in squares and cast a spell.
-move up to their speed in squares and perform an action.
-run up to their speed multiplied by 1.5 (round down).
-attack and move one square.
-cast a spell and move one square.
-perform an action and move one square.
-perform an action and attack.
-perform an action and cast a spell.

Out of Combat
-move up to their speed in squares and cast a spell.
-move up to their speed in squares and perform an action.
-run up to their speed multiplied by 1.5 (round down).
-cast a spell and move up to their speed in squares.
-perform an action and move up to their speed in squares.
-perform an action and cast a spell.

Actions include, but is not limited to:
-disarm a trap.
-pick up an item. (Free action out of combat)
-change weapon. (Free action out of combat)
-pick a lock.
-search a hallway (adds 2 to spot)
-loot a corpse. (Free action out of combat)
-learn from a scroll (must stand in a magic spot)
-casting a spell from a scroll.
-drinking a potion. (Free action out of combat)
-Recharge EP at a magic spot. (Free action out of combat)
-Use a teleportation circle.
-Identify a Random scroll.

It has ATT 3 and you have 0 DEF.
I by mistake read at the normal zombie in my notes when I wrote your damage... luckely this round turned out perfectly, Wins DEF increas and Scolds heal saved your life. together that mad you hit 0 hit points, but being healed the same round, therefor staying alive.
(had this not happened i would have let you stay alive becaus it was my mistake... but i found it to bee cool fluff, and it ended well anyways so i rolled with it...)

Yep, the spells/power scrolls is for a free single cast only. and learning known spells simply costs XP.
