Re: Festival of Fools (Chars rolled for)
Sorry. I was unaware you were bothered by the fact you did not want the players to know what one of the characters has as profession (though I'm pretty sure at least one of them knows what that is?) Deleted the post.
Sorry I was trying to be funny but clearly failed.
I'll just wait until the players meet him...

Re: Festival of Fools (Chars rolled for)
The post itself was fine just don't keep making new ones! I don't care if they know that somewhere in a town like this there is a char you know the name of - but you know nothing about him aside from his profession Stop trying to convince people to kill my NPCs!
Also - Theis wouldn't have likely remembered the chars name if you didn't keep trying to brainwash him

But he HAS to be evil! All your attempts of convincing me otherwise only serve to indicate I have secretly unmasked the main villain!

No... my protests show that I am very attached to all my characters and don't like to see them dragged through the dirt!

Re: Festival of Fools (Chars rolled for)
You don't know him. And with that other char of yours - I was answering your questions as honestly as I could answer them. What you wanted would NOT have been easy as I couldn't answer anything else aside from stating that I love my NPC and think he's awesome. Anything else? Would have been a spoiler. If you ever learn it through the campaign or whatnot... then I'll explain it all to you someday and you'll understand so much better.

Re: Festival of Fools (Chars rolled for)
I'd like to just go ahead and post my rolls so that everyone knows, when i present my character sheet, these are the rolls I've based my stats on. Though i may change which stat my rolls are used on, I will not change the numbers.

Here is my character sheet: I believe it is mostly finished with possibly a few minor changes.

I don't have attack bonus added in because i don't know what it should be.

Here are my stat rolls. The ability scores are accurate to where I placed priority. Let me know if you want any changes

Re: Festival of Fools (OOC thread)
My apologies if i post way too much. Instead of doing my job for my hour shift i tend to sit and watch the forums all day. I don't want to trample anyone.
Though for my gnome, I'm going for someone who has just left his village, is eager to explore and meet people.

Re: Festival of Fools (OOC thread)
No, posting is alright, obviously! Just if you're waiting for a player's response... don't move ahead until they have a chance to respond, not everyone has a free schedule, or can access this while they work - I can do it at lunch and on my preps if I don't have something else to do, but other than that I have no computer access.

Re: Festival of Fools (OOC thread)
Again, i will apologize and do my best to wait. I'm sorry for any aggravation my actions have caused. If you are not happy then I shall perform the ancient art of Seppuku because of my dishonor.

Re: Festival of Fools (OOC thread)
That's what I figured when I saw you post in here again even AFTER the pm hahaha. So there was a rather hugely long introduction that you would have missed out on! Silly John. I didn't know that YOU were hypnotised too!
ALSO: Question for everyone - When NPCs are around, would you prefer it if I make fairly consistent responses right away if the NPC would definiltey be responding to that statement, (like how I did with Zandrax accusing Maeloraed of faking it) or would you rather me always wait and respond to everyone as a hole, like I did with my second?
Sometimes I just think it's more appropriate for the NPC to respond to the questions/actions right away because they rest of you might need to know their response to determine your own action.
But then again, having a big long conversation isn't a good idea without letting everyone else respond because if they're there, they WOULD respond and wouldn't have a whole convo going on without their inclusion.
So.. unless you have ideas/protests... I'll likely post as the NPCs but I won't respond twice without giving others a chance to hop in.

Re: Festival of Fools (OOC thread)
I would say go with your gut feeling. Answering immediately to "the Z" i think was appropriate, and your later response was also appropriate.

Re: Festival of Fools (OOC thread)
I agree with BadgeAddict. Do what seems right and fair on a case by case basis. It's the best you can do as GM. If an immediate response seems called for or if it won't really affect the rest of the party, go for it. If it seems like a situation where it would be better to have input from the others (or to give them a chance to head off a situation they may not like), then wait. Of course, sometimes it just happens in a group that someone starts things rolling and events flow before anyone else has a chance to react. That's life. Go with your gut and try not to worry about it too much.
Mostly offline/inactive due to chronic health issues. PM me if you really need attention.

Re: Festival of Fools (OOC thread)
As to rolls - I think I would like to do them because I'll get used to it better that way. Although when you post when you think a roll needs done is a GREAT help because I worry that I'll forget! LOL.
