I guess I should re-read more carefully! Oh well, we are where we are and we'll make the best of it.

Re: Tests and Trials OOC
I think I voted for big hut with the idea that it would contain important stuff and be good to hit first.
Another round or two would have been nice though, since I had to spend one getting his shield on, and now am debating if I should spend another casting bless... It'd be going on Ves, Jaq and Kro, but whether I do that now or start attacking is what I need to decide.

Re: Tests and Trials OOC
Lurn should probably get his shield ready too, if not his mace, but eh. Also if we want Bless then I could do that for us, rather than Kroshav, since he'll be in the frontline and may lose Concentration? (How is Magic Stone not Concentration? Who knows. But it's good.)

Re: Tests and Trials OOC
Yeah, as far as concentration spells go, bless at least makes it more likely for the the caster to make the Concentration check since they get the d4 to saves.

I like the bold move of having Ves go into the hut and deal with stuff.
Bit of a chance but I think it might actually work out real well!

I feel like his Intimidation is a bit lacking.

Jaq has dropped a couple of them as well. Overall the rolls on both sides haven't been all that impressive.

Re: Tests and Trials OOC
Jolly's officially the party's main Fighter now. Kroshav trained him well. Wonder what he'll spec into.

Well, Kroshav was training him in the dueling fighting style, so makes sense he followed into that

I'd have to look closely at the PHB too, since I actually know basically nothing about Warriors, having never played one.

Re: Tests and Trials OOC
Ya, Jolly is a fighter. I pondered having him go barbarian but that didn't really fit him. He also just got to use the standard array rather than rolling for stats. We will see what he archetypes into when/if he gets to level 3.

Re: Tests and Trials OOC
Of the three PHB archetypes, champion is the easiest to run, battle master and Eldritch Knight have a lot more decisions you'd need to make for him each turn (though, making a simplified version of doable, the Strongholds and Followers third party book I have does that for characters retainers).
Galt is a "samurai", though I've never called him that, not sure if I'd be as bothered by the name of that archetype without the party of three idiots in the comic. That archetype is pretty straight forward too, can focus up to get advantage on attacks and 5 temp HP.
Tren is a cavalier, though it rarely came up, but Jolly can barely ride a horse.

Re: Tests and Trials OOC
We killed Tren's horse for blood. Those were tough times.
I am leaning towards champion honestly. Jolly has no interest in tactics for a Battlemaster or magic for an Eldritch Knight (or the int to support it). Samurai's level 3 benefits are nice but the level 7 benefits don't fit Jolly as a person very well.
Everything about Jolly just screams bard to be honest.

His Bardic Inspiration is sullen grumbling.
Or Fighter: Champion to 4th for ASI ability boost, then he falls off the wagon and goes Monk: Way of The Drunken Master the rest of the way?
