Kytiel moves around, before changing his clothes and skin tone to match the twilight darkened stone of the bank and moves closer when no one is looking.

((oh! Jax wasn't trying to be particularly stealthy in approaching the houses. Sorry, I didn't realise what you wanted the roll for! He's trusting to his disguise for now))

Saying that, he's going to try and be stealthy now and look in the back window of number 9 (that one that the elf didn't just enter). Let me know if you need a new roll or just want to reuse the last one.

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

Ignoring the fight behind her, Veska creeps further into the tunnel. She doesn't really have a good angle, but still manages to get the other Crawler in her sights - albeit only by standing directly below it. Thankfully, it's kinda hard to miss when you're looking right at it. Three arrows fly and three hit, the monster screeching in pain and anger at its unexpected, unseen foe.

Kobold 1 (22)
Crawler 1 (21), Slightly injured
Vatro (19)
Veska (16)
Uragh (13)
Barusk (13), Slightly injured, paralyzed
Kobold 2 (12)
Kobold 3 (8)
Crawler 2 (4), Injured

Jax

((We'll just keep the same Stealth roll. Don't worry, Commoners have crap Passive Perception anyway  ))

Peering through the door for the house the half-elf didn't enter, you see the flicking of candlelight, and what looks like someone moving around.

((Roll Perception))

Kytiel

Slipping into something a little more subtle, you sneak around the side of the bank to see if you can spot anything inside.

Uragh, apparently, still decides this isn't worth raging... He might just be underestimating these things- Might get a bit more serious once he realizes how bad the paralysis is... For now, though, he simply seems intent on trying to finish it off quick- With at least one strike in particular seeming to hit a vital part.

Attack and sneak attack: 1D20+7 = [20]+7 = 27
1D20+7 = [5]+7 = 12
1D6+4 = [2]+4 = 6
1D6 = [6] = 6
2D6 = [4, 2] = 6

(crit!)

crit damage: 1D6 = [2] = 2

Total damage: 20 (assuming 12 hits, probably not, in which case 14)

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

As Vatro hits one side, Uragh does the same to the other. One blade is deflected by it's tough carapace, but the other finds a gap and slides in with a sickening squelch...which causes the creature to immediately round on him. Seems it thinks he's the biggest threat, now.

Barusk manages to shake off the effects of the poison through pure strength of will, but is too shaken to attack back. His warriors have no such problems though, raining down a barrage of stones on the creature's head. Then they try to get as far away from the action as possible, taking running leaps to cross over to the other side of the water.

Then the Crawlers hit back. The one Veska shot surges forward, blindly searching for the source of the arrows. But she's able to deftly dodge it, even in such a confined space. Uragh is....less fortunate, the tentacles wrapping around his sword arm before he can pull it free. He feels the poison seeping into his body, taking 4(2) poison damage, but also senses the blessing fighting against it...

((Make a CON Saving Throw with Advantage))

Kobold 1 (22)
Crawler 1 (21), Badly injured
Vatro (19)
Veska (16)
Uragh (13), 39/47Hp

Crawler 2 (4), Injured

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

Thanks to the effects of the blessing, Uragh is able to fight off the poison and dodge the teeth going for him.

As this is going on, Vatro notices something weird. It seems some of the water is...flowing against the current? In fact, it looks suspiciously like there might be something big in the water...

Kobold 1 (22)
Crawler 1 (21), Badly injured
Vatro (19)
Veska (16)

Vatro whispers to Uragh as he continously hits the crawler and moves next to him.

"You suck! Something in the water"
He doesn't do anything to help the poor kobolds though

Vatro attack: 1D20+7 = [15]+7 = 22
1D20+7 = [8]+7 = 15
1D20+7 = [6]+7 = 13

Attack damage: 1D6+4 = [5]+4 = 9
1D6+4 = [5]+4 = 9

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

Vatro does some crazy monk crap, smacking the shit out of the Crawler as he weaves around to Uragh's side. His final strike hits an eye, popping it with a wet squelch and leaving him elbow deep in gore.

Ew.

Still, it's certainly effective. With a screech, the Crawler flails about violently, then goes limp. One down...

Kobold 1 (22)
Crawler 1 (21), Dead
Vatro (19)
Veska (16)
Uragh (13), 39/47Hp

On the edge of her vision Veska sees the strange movement in the sewer stream, just beneath the kobolds that perched themselves on the other side.

"Persvek wer pab!" Her eyes go wide as she shouts a warning. She draws her other shortsword and shanks the Crawler in front of her once, before running over to the water and leaping in, stabbing twice into the large creature beneath the surface.

1 shortsword attack against Crawler:
2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [2, 9]+7 = 16

2 shortsword attacks against underwater monster:
2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [17, 10]+7 = 24
2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [12, 16]+7 = 23

Damage - 1 for Crawler and 2 for underwater monster:
1D6+4 = [2]+4 = 6
1D6+4 = [3]+4 = 7
1D6+4 = [2]+4 = 6

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

Seeing the new danger, Veska slashes the Crawler above her then darts away as it flails around. Leaping into the water, she finds another Crawler - this one somehow figuring out how to hide itself underwater - and slashes at its back. The creature shudders in pain, but unable to see where the attack came from, goes for it's original target: the unfortunate Kobold on the ledge above.

Tentacles lash out of the water, wrapping around his feet and threatening to pull him in. But Veska's warning was enough for him to prepare, resisting the poison long enough to evade the gnashing teeth. He doesn't look very good, though, the poison eating away at him.

Kobold 1 (22), Injured
Crawler 1 (21), Dead
Vatro (19)
Veska (16)
Crawler 3 (14), Slightly injured
Uragh (13), 39/47Hp

Uragh seems to have had enough of all this... Bellowing as he begins his rage, charging the crawler Veska left behind- Slashing at it, making use of some quick footwork to get off a couple sneaky stabs..!

_: 1D20+7 = [14]+7 = 21
1D6+4 = [5]+4 = 9
2D6 = [3, 5] = 8

(I'm dum and forgot to add the +2 strength bonus, so that'd be 19 damage total.)

Jax

Jax peers through the glass, but all he sees is the vague shape of a person. Wait, two people? He can't really tell their genders though - just that they seem to be preparing some dinner?

The other house, however, seems empty. Even though there is definitely lit candles in there.

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

Unleashing a furious bellow, Uragh charges the Crawler Veska left behind. His slashes leave it badly weakened, but not quite dead...yet. Luckily it seems too weak to really hit back, teeth and tentacles flailing uselessly.

And then his bellow is echoed by a second one - from Barusk. Seeing his warriors in danger, the Kobold leaps into the water, recklessly slamming his club down on the half-submerged Crawler. It's surprisingly effective, cracking the carapace where it hits. The other Kobolds react too - one grabbing and pulling his injured ally out of harms way, while the other slashes frantically with his dagger and chops of a few tentacles. The injured Kobold also lets loose another stone, smacking it in the eye.

Kobold 1 (22), Injured
Crawler 1 (21), Dead
Vatro (19)
Veska (16)
Crawler 3 (14), Injured
Uragh (13), 39/47Hp
Barusk (13), Slightly injured
Kobold 2 (12)
Kobold 3 (8)
Crawler 2 (4), Badly Injured

Vatro removes goop from his arm, not really wanting to go into the water with the crawler nor shoot past Uragh. (just skipping my turn)

Crawler 3 (14), Injured

Veska manages a scowl as Barusk jumps into the water with her, but leaves it at that. For now she focuses on stabbing this Crawler as many times as possible!

3 shortsword attacks on water Crawler:
2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [5, 5]+7 = 12
2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [5, 6]+7 = 13
2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [11, 20]+7 = 27

3 shortsword attacks on water Crawler damage + 1 crit:
1D6+4 = [4]+4 = 8
1D6+4 = [6]+4 = 10
2D6+4 = [4, 1]+4 = 9

Unfortunately the distraction really messes with her aim, but she manages to get at least one good stab in.

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

Veska continues slashing away, however the Crawler seems to be barely holding on. Barusk raises his club for the killing blow, but then a flailing tentacle catches him on the side, and his muscles again freeze from the toxin. Luckily though, the monster fails to find anything with its teeth. So that's nice.

Kobold 1 (22), Injured
Crawler 1 (21), Dead
Vatro (19)
Veska (16)
Crawler 3 (14), Badly injured
Uragh (13), 39/47Hp
Barusk (13), Slightly injured, paralyzed
Kobold 2 (12)
Kobold 3 (8)
Crawler 2 (4), Badly Injured

Slashy slash.

_: 1D20+7 = [14]+7 = 21
1D20+7 = [14]+7 = 21
1D6+6 = [3]+6 = 9
1D6+2 = [6]+2 = 8
2D6 = [4, 1] = 5

(So added +2 damage to the second attack from rage as well, unless that's not the intention..?)

Kytiel

Standing on his toes, Kytiel peers through the grates of the window. He can't really see too much, but there is a flicker of light coming from the stairs down to the vaults.

Then he hears a shout, and turns to see a guard at the end of the street walking towards him.

"Oi! Bank's closed. No loiterin'!"

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

Uragh slams his blades into the Crawler before it can do any more damage. With a shudder, the creature dies - at which point the only thing holding it up disappears, and its body crashes down head-first to fill the narrow tunnel. Meanwhile, Barusk manages to shake off the poison once again - only to have his kill stolen by one of his warriors, who leaps in and buries his dagger in its head. Not that Barusk seems to mind too much. If anything he looks proud.

Eventually, the Crawler's death spasms begin to subside. Barusk manages to jump off, before the current washes it down deeper into the depths of the sewers.

"Ha ha! Vi bensvelk maulk! Wux slathalina algbo, isthasyi!"

First thing's first, Veska hauls herself out of the water near the other kobolds. The inky smear of darkness dripping with water then asks the injured one whether he's alright. Afterward, she directs them to look for Rezak's boots, but warns them that they only have a few scant minutes to search. If they don't find them, they'll just have to come back for the boots later.

She doesn't really bother asking Uragh and Vatro if they want to help. There won't be anything in it for them, and Uragh's made his stance clear on doing things for free. She doesn't expect anything different from Vatro or any of her criminal cohorts, really.

Once the other kobolds are set to their task and out of earshot, she turns her attention to Barusk. She attempts to calm herself with a deep breath, as she's practically seething.

"Ui nomeno... svanoa wux agantal slathalin?"

Veska talks as she does some searching on her own.

Survival and Perception to look for Rezaks boots (Natural Explorer):
1D20+6 = [2]+6 = 8
1D20+6 = [15]+6 = 21

She likely doesn't find the nest from that, but judging from where the one Crawler was hanging from, she has a pretty good guess of where it might be. She'll climb on top of the body and attempt to jump and climb up the vacated hole.

Veska, Uragh, and Vatro

"Ui nomeno... svanoa wux agantal slathalin?"

Barusk appears oblivious to Veska's anger, still laughing from adrenaline.

"Di ekmiv! Vi Jennu Harroc zklaen slathalin de wer dasost! Coi... asadsadavi tawuraic desta mrith naki, shar ilrigan."

"Vur dout svant ingellarari jahen klaena rhyaex fethosi. Filki houpea vur slathalina hefoc faessiri."

The battlefield is too hectic for Veska to find any tracks, but she has a pretty good idea of where the Crawler's lair might be. Especially since, as Barusk points out, the Kobold's old den is in that direction. Squeezing past the corpse, she scrambles up the tunnel until the scent of decomposing meat hits her nostrils. From there it's an easy matter to track down the alcove containing the bodies.

Trying not to think too much about who the rotten limbs and crushed skulls belonged to, she eventually finds a pair of Kobold-sized leather foot-wraps that are strangely clean despite the gore surrounding them.

Meanwhile, back in the water-chamber, Uragh and Vatro watch as the Kobolds perform some basic first-aid on each other while searching. Barusk seems barely fazed by his injuries, energised by the battle, but the warrior is struggling to deal with the poison in his system. They also realise that the Crawler bodies are kinda blocking their way out. While Veska and the Kobolds might be able to squeeze past, they're going to have no chance. The only unblocked routes are either 10ft high, or down the foul water stream....

Kytiel takes on a rumpled, unkempt bearded face, and adopts a bit of a stagger as he blearily turns around and blinks at the guard before looking at the building in surprise.

"Shorry... thought itsa tavern."

He proceeds to stumble away from the bank and away from the guard.

Just a harmless drunk...(Deception): 1D20+7 = [19]+7 = 26
