I vote for that again.

I also agree.. And I also vote for it again.
If we can all agree on it and vote for it and nothing else than it had to happen right?

Re: Civilization XLCVIII
If I remember rightly from previous games just saying go deep at this stage would do nothing. We'd need an adaptation that allows us to go deep and survive first.
Plus what do people envision for our final form this time and what do we need to get there? I enjoyed the last successful game on here with the Katha but i know others didn't like the hive mind we ended up being.
Personally I enjoy the journey and adapting to situations as they go and would therefore love a changeling esk creature. Will we go magic/religious/tech/a mix of them all? We had powerful religious enemies when we had the Katha, who knows what the others will do this time round?
I do hope when we evolve enough we get pictures like before, actually seeing the Katha come to life made me enjoy it so much more.
Also what we want is more voters so more opportunity to get an adaptation. We're currently getting the highest roll but if i remember right we get all adaptations of 90+

I'm hoping we'd become elder gods of the deep with mimicry powers and eventually space faring to conquer asides from that though, I am not sure

Re: Civilization XLCVIII
Its kind of two different games to me... I enjoy both...
But this type, kind of loses my interest when "intelligence" and civilization is reached and evolution tend to stop. while the Civ games keep me going for longer, the evolution aspect has its own charm

Ok, so I vote we're able to survive in the deep? I'm not sure how that's different from what we wanted last time...Patdragon wrote:If I remember rightly from previous games just saying go deep at this stage would do nothing. We'd need an adaptation that allows us to go deep and survive first.

The ability to equalize internal and external pressures rapidly, allowing the organism to survive at any depth.

Re: Civilization XLCVIII
Does piling up on one vote actually do something? Because if so, I'm changing to Lurks idea. (If not, stick with the heat thing to try and evolve as much traits as possible. )

Well, trying to go deep didn't even make the list last time, so maybe we only have specific things we can choose (like first 6 options or something)? Some input from aegis would be handy

Re: Civilization XLCVIII
Indeed. If it is this then we need to be smarter with our mutations. Next turn i suggest intellegence and some sort of sight and continue to try for mimicry/deep ones and heat resistancethinkslogically wrote:Well, trying to go deep didn't even make the list last time, so maybe we only have specific things we can choose (like first 6 options or something)? Re: Civilization XLCVIII
So what you're saying is... We just need to think of a whole load of different mutations that could cause us to "go deep" ?
What about echolocation of some kind? Regular "sight" will be useless in the deep dark...

How about the ability of turbo thrusters...
Essentially jettison water to enable us to speed through the water... Away from our enemies.

Re: Civilization XLCVIII
How about we mutate "humming", causing any other bacteria that are too close to go "insane"..?
...Actually I wrote that out mostly as a joke towards becoming cthulhic beings, but I actually like it. Could work with high frequency pulses or something similar... Scratch my previous suggestions and take this one.
