"I am going to presume we don't want to go down there. What's next on the map?"

I just remembered Mehr can actually Assist one of the pathfinders. Soo... Syli can have Assistance.

Syli looks down at the pool, then back up at the group. "Yeah, I'd say this is probably the pool." She glances over at Varsk. "And I'm guessing they're probably not; not until we reach them. One last leg to go, and this time..." She looks at the 'map' again. "West. We're heading west. And we need to keep our eyes up this time, 'cause we don't have a landmark to go by; presumably whatever we see when we get there will be pretty obvious... maybe."

Once Varsk is done poking around, Syli takes point in leading them onward toward the druids.

Survival (+3 w/ Advantage): 21

Varsk will wrap up his checking out the scenery quick and follow behind Syli helping find west.

"How many lines of unknown distance to the unknown place?"

Varsk checks around the edge of the pool. Its harder to tell now you're out of the soft grounds of the swamp, but there are certainly deer tracks and paw prints from larger beasts like cats, large lizards and monkeys and such. He doesn't find anything unusually large or unusual though until he reaches the northern edge of the cliffs. There, he finds large, split depressions in the ground, that are a bit larger than his hand span. He's not sure whether they're from hooves or perhaps from some monstrous thing, but the place seems quiet and safe and it's hard to worry too much...

As Varsk walks with Syli and the rest away from the pool he describes the odd hoof track things to them.

...were bigger 'an my hand."

He waves his hand so they can get an impression of the size.

"Any idea what it could have been?"

"One line of distance this time, although that by itself isn't saying too much." Syli responds to Varsk's question of distance. Syli then ponders the described prints...

((I'm voting for move around the guard post and try to pick up the trail of the one on foot if he's headed in the same direction we were.))

Syli ponders Varsk's description of the prints and then just goes to look at them for herself. They look a bit like deer prints, but if they are, they belong to a far larger deer than she's ever seen - based on the distance between the prints, she estimates that the creature must be about 10 feet to the shoulder.

Druid Group

Keen to get back on track and keep moving forward, Gwen takes stock of their location and orientates herself. It looks like heading west will take you deeper into the tall forest, but there are no obvious paths to follow.

((Any more actions at the pool?))

Lizard Group

Following Korrik's lead, the lizard group decide to leave the guard post and trail the lizard through the forest.

((I'll take stealth rolls and actions for Korrik and Merric))

Kal - Stealth: 1D20+1 = [17]+1 = 18
Artho - Stealth: 1D20+10 = [10]+10 = 20

Korrik notices Artho seems to be watching him a little more closely than usual as the party set off through the forest again...

Varsk doesn't even glance back at the pool and takes the rear position in group since Gwen (or Syli?) has taken the lead.

"Let's go and maybe we can get there today."

As the group begin to trail the lizardman leaving the guardpost, Merric steps on a large, brittle stick that cracks loudly in the underbrush and the parrot squawks loudly in alarm and takes off with a flurry of feathers. The rest of the group stop abruptly, listening intently for any sign that they've been heard.

((Perception checks please))

Artho manages to look concerned and annoyed at the same time, his attention apparently split between pulling Merric into cover and watching the guardpost; Kal just looks confused.

Kal - Perception: 1D20+1 = [1]+1 = 2

A moment passes, and Artho exhales quietly.

"I think we got away with it", he whispers. "Mind your step this time!"

"...Shit... Meanwhile his friend gets further away. I suppose we could risk a run, or hide and wait for him to lose interest."

He gives Merric a look that says exactly what he thinks about Merric's ability to successfully hide himself.
