As Dornikal arrives at the Lame Goat, there is some tension in the air as an elf at one table glares at a human and halfling at another table. He shrugs and heads upstairs to where the sleeping Gordon is sacked out in one of the parties rooms and gets to work on some gem crafting.

((The party has a few rooms, he'd be able to work in one of the others unless he wanted to keep an eye on Gordon.))

((Nope, if he came into the room with Gordon he'd back out slowly and quietly to find another.))

Edit: (( It looks like Maj was bunked with Coljin, Dornikal with Ulmwin, and Tess, Holger, and Randy in the big room. ))

Nem grins at the others at the table, ordering a shot of something schnapps-like from a waitress.

Holger comes out of the backroom, a little more meek than his usual performance persona but still with a flourish.

"Hey! I'm Holger Starwind and I'll be your entertainment for tonight!."

Holger take his place and starts playing a soft melody, but refrains from singing the lyrics of "The Maids Dream". He follows Heinriks wishes a bit closer than he originally intented, still very conscious of his empty mouth, hidden by illusory teeth.

Randy slowly shakes his head and answers quietly as he's watching Holger's performance.
"I've a feeling that Zokk is going to be around a long time. During the fight, Holger had wild surge of magic again. His magic apparently combined with Maj's and energy from a intraplanes portal in the room to bring Maj's meditation stick to sentiate life and give it the ability to move. The yew stick planted itself over Maj's body and grew absolutely huge and then forced the portal closed, all while distorting local time. The tree is practically a demi-god.
Zokk is the tree's offspring and emissary, with full independent will and thought. I doubt that it's dependent on Holger's magic at all. It's a new species."
He looks thoughtful, then chuckles.
"Holger may get his fame, although not in the way he expected, if it turns out that Zokk can reproduce. He'd be the 'Father/grandfather' to a whole new race."

"I just hope that whenever that magic of Holger goes haywire it's going to keep doing 'good' stuff like this and not, you know... Open a portal to hell? Something like that."

The server brings Tess her drink, and looks to the others for their drink and food orders.

Holger emerges and greets the crowd in a subdued manner (for him), before launching into a lovely set of songs on his instrument appropriate for dinner in such a fine establishment. If the party was expecting theatrics and over the top showmanship from their friend, they would be disappointed, at least until the exquisite playing transports them through his song. It is truly moving, and more than one table of diners around them have turned in their chairs to watch him play.

((You all WILL be expected to purchase dinner if you're here for the dinner show, btw.))

Someone eventually remembers that there is a gnome and his pet tree out in the garden, and ask if they can bring you anything. The music is a but more muted out here, but is still lovely.

"Thank you, I would like a fish dinner of some sort, and vegetables. For drink, some white wine, please."

"Certainly, we have the market catch with fingerling potatoes and mushrooms in a wine and butter sauce? If you prefer green vegetables, the fish could be served with a side salad in place of the potatoes and mushrooms. We have a selection of white wines, here is a list, they are available by the glass or by the bottle."

((Not sure how versed in wine Coljin is, but there are a dozen red, a dozen white, and assorted meads, spirits and the like.))

Randy asks for whatever passes as a steak with salad along with a chianti equivalent.

The server expounds on the dark fruit notes with the leathery undertone of the wine Randy selects before going to fetch it for him.

"The market catch and potatoes will be good, and a glass of"....and he picks out what he thinks might be a dry white. "And a glass of water please."

He glances over at Zokk, not really certain how the tree eats, assuming it is through his roots...???
Does he have a face? talking with a mouth?
