Maji puts his ear to the door, trying to hear if there is anything beyond the locked door.

"Thank ye."
Dornikal hussles over and takes care of business before following along with Holger and Randy, feeling like a new dwarf.

Randy mulls this over while waiting for Dornikal to finish his buisiness.Theis2 wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 4:53 am "Always nice to get someone else to prove ones suspicion. I'm also glad you're warming up to my tactic of winning the hearts of the people. We got magic in such a surplus and variety that we can step in and assist in most kind of situations and being mostly unaffiliated we don't have anyone holding us back from doing so!
Think the commander have heard of this yet or should I wait a day more before confronting him again?"
"They commander most likely knows about the death and the injury. He'd be a pretty poor commander if he didn't. Whether he knows about us getting involved yet is a bit debatable. If he does, my guess is that either he or one of his lieutenants will be along shortly to keep us out of trouble. Which might be an opportunity to see what's going on down there, if it's something they can't handle. Whatever it was that got ahold of that fellow...it wasn't human. His injuries were like nothing I've seen before. It literally looked like whatever it was tried to pull the poor fellow apart while trying to eat him." Randy looks troubled. "I hope Maj is alright. A human guard might not pay attention (much) to a rat, but a hungry monster might have different thoughts on the matter."

Re: The Sundered Way
Maji frowns, certian that whatever they are hiding is beyond the door. Not knowing how to open locked doors, and seeing that the previous people in here were trapped, Maji decides it would be best to retrace his steps to near the grate (about 50' away from it). He turns off his light and gets a bit closer (25 feet from it) and waits. While waiting he listens intently on what the guards say.

"So I'm hearing a yes, but only to ingratiate my self with the captain. Please go into detail with the wounds and what you suspect could do such a thing."
Holger attempts to figure out what it could be based on the description, but comes up with nothing.
He'll move towards the barracks as he listens.

"Anything aye could help ye with?"
Dornikal thinks it was mostly like a sewer bear. He has heard of those in Estmont. He keeps his suspicions to himself for now.

Holger and Dornikal have independently come to the same conclusion... probably a sewer bear.

"Wizard" Holger and his two "henchmen" arrive at the barracks, as they are basically next door to the infirmary. The guard at the door looks at them inquisitively.
Maji, you hear the shuffle of booted feet and the click of a key in a lock, followed by what sounds like a chain being withdrawn...

Holger smiles a bit at their display.
"We should probably end it here, I did go here yesterday after all. Besides you two don't want to get into the politics of this town and have their scrying pointed at you."
Holger especially looks at Randy as he says the last part.
"Maybe check in with Tess and let her know we have a lead in her realm of influence or check on the big brute and the gnomes waiting for him?
Holger will head into the barracks and see if the woman he helped with the ink yesterday is there.

Randy gives a nod. "Dornikal, why don't you go check with Coljin and Ulmwin and see if Maj has shown up yet? I'll swing by the inn and see if Tess left any messages and then come join you with the others."

((Not sure what you mean by sound door, but closest hiding place is the breached tunnel, as the side door is currently locked. They're may be other hiding places beyond the breached.))

Randy heads towards the inn to see if Tess left any messages. He's looking around a bit to see if he spots her on the way.

Re: The Sundered Way
Maji dips out and scurries back down the blood trail and beyond to the breached tunnel.
((How far in are you going? It curves somewhat once you get in there, but if you stay close you might be visible to anyone standing outside the breach... speaking of which, what are you doing with your lantern? I'm assuming not shining it back into the tunnel, but you keeping it lit and pointed away from the sewers?))
((If you're staying within view of the sewer tunnel, you'd see it getting lighter as someone with a light source moves into the sewer.))
Holger's henchmen abandon him, as he strides up to the command post guard.
"You'll need to check your staff, sir."
Randy heads back to the Lame Goat to check on Tess.
((Thinks... did Tess leave a note for them?))
Dornikal begins heading up to check on the gnomes and Maji.

Maji will snuff his light and go around the curve, waiting in the dark. Not sure if it's within view of sewers or not.

((That's up to you, if you want to stay in view, I'll take a Stealth check though, if you go far enough in that you can't see it, I'll say you had enough of a head start to get far enough away to where you wouldn't need to make one.))
