Gordon hears a clang followed by a shout in a language he doesn't understand, coming from near one of the cooking areas.

Gordon walks towards the sound and continues to keep an eye out for something like a medical tent.

Re: The Sundered Way
Gordon sees lots of tents, but no way of telling if any of them are medical in nature. Griff bounds along beside, and the dragonborn are giving way in deference and whispered amazement (he presumes, given that he can't understand any of it).
There is an overturned pot and some spilled food, a dragonborn lies prone in pain, while another is examining their foot. It seems to have gotten caught underneath.
Randy confers with Szartha, and he shares what he knows of them, which is somewhat limited. As he was passing through the desert, if they wished to trade with him, a small contingent of outrider scouts would signal him and he'd make contact, meeting with them at the next way station. They seemed to have a want and need for manufactured goods, metal and wood in particular, those things that the desert can't provide as easily. They traded gems for the goods they received, and seemed to have a good handle on their value to caravans, leading him to think they'd traded with others before, but were willing to pay a premium for the goods. He'd mostly met with the same small group over and over, so had no idea that their numbers were so larger. He isn't sure where they are sourcing the gems, but since they are largely uncut, it would seem to indicate a mine or natural source. Asking where they got their gems from seemed that it would be a bit of a betrayal of good faith.

Re: The Sundered Way
Gordon looks at the hurt dragonborn, he speaks up briefly but quickly realizes that there is a language barrier.
He holds his hands out non-threateningly and attempts to speak his good intent with kind eyes.
When given permission, he kneels before the injured dragonborn and tenderly takes it's foot, casting divine healing. (Lay on hands)

Persuasion: 1D20+2 = [5]+2 = 7
Not realizing how bad a job of persuading them he's doing, he moves forward with his original plan.

They look at you in confusion, and more than a little concern as you hold your hands up and wink at them or whatever. As you reach to touch the injured dragonborn, the other one moves to stop you.

Griff dashes off, catching up to Zokk.
Zokk, the dragonkin that played fetch with you skids to a halt in front of you, then looks back to the camp, lifting a clawed paw to point in that direction.

Re: The Sundered Way
You know Gordon is a paladin, and what you've managed to glean from the others, that means he follows a god and has divine powers, somewhat similar to Coljin. He probably was trying to heal the injured dragonborn.

Re: The Sundered Way
Once released, Gordon bobs his head in thanks. Realizing that his actions were misunderstood.
He kneels and lays his hands on the foot, casting divine healing.
