"Tess."
Nem smiles pleasantly at the woman.
"I'm actually looking for someone specific. Is there a Wizard Zottle here?"

She sets shown a pen she had picked up and folds her hands in front of her, "Before I interrupt Wizard Zottle, what is this regarding? You aren't down for an appointment, Tess, and we are hardly in the habit of entertaining walk ins. However, you did make it to the door, so you've earned my attention."

"You are quite right, of course, but it is a rather private matter. I was rather hoping that Wizard Zottle would be available to appraise a rather unusual, and rare item that my employer has recently acquired. I heard that he is the best person to talk to about such things, but if course he is undoubtedly very busy. When would his first appointment be?"

"The when is a bit... fluid. But I'm not convinced that it is worth asking my colleague to interrupt other matters just to appraise something for you. You wouldn't be the first to find granddad's old sword or granny's favorite pie plate and think it's worth something. I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific."

"Well..."
Nem leans in conspiratorially.
"It is a private matter, as I say. ...But... No, forgive me, I cannot discuss the matter with just anyone. Please tell Wizard Zottle that a wizard Zeldoran sends his regards, and I'm sorry we can't do business today."
She watches for any kind of reaction.

"Seems possible. Anders what do ye think? Aye'm not keen on swimming if they are there. Gives them too much of an advantage. Might instead be a spot to guard for awhile?"

Randy frowns. "Definitely don't want to be in there with them if they are there. Too many advantages go to them. Then there's that whole bit about breathing...."

She is clearly irritated that you're being evasive and telling her stories, but shows no recognition to the made up name you dropped.
"I'm not keen on swimming through either. You said you went through though? Any tracks on the other side? Oh, didn't one of the gnomes, Coljin have an item that can detect them?"

((Zokk did go though the tunnel, but didn't go swimming in the ocean.))
The woman doesn't seem all that much impressed by Tess's story about having a message for Zottle from a very real name instead of one she made up on the spot. She puts her hand to her ear and her lips move. She pauses, then nods.
"Wizard Zottle doesn't know a Kreldoran, so at this point you wasting all of our time."
She stands up from behind the table.
"Do I need to show you the way out?"

Re: The Sundered Way
"That's a shame. Still, this device seems to have caused quite a stir around town so far, between its original theft and the subsequent murder of the one who possessed it. And then last night, it was finally recovered right in the midst of a group of summoned abominations if you can believe it! And right under your own guild, no less! No matter though, I'm sure I'll figure out what it is on my own just fine."
She smiles broadly at the woman and gets up to leave.

She hesitates, uncertain now that you've doubled down on implausible stories... But there were things going on in the city last night...
"Perhaps I can see if Wizard Zottle is able to meet with you, and let him make any final determinations?"

"I think we're done here, Anders. I think Dornikal may have the best approach. Put a guard post down here for a while to make sure there are no stragglers. If they're in the ocean, we're not going to find them easily anyway."

"Well, you are imposing, and being evasive, and not entirely truthful, but I think I'll let Zottle sort that all out."
She walks out an adjoining door, which immediately swings open again to admit a thin, bald fellow in a dark blue robe. He adjusts the spectacles on his beak of a nose and looks at you.
"Well?", he barks curtly. "I don't know you, why are you asking for me?"

Dornikal gives a nod,
"Then aye guess we're done down here." He confirms with Anders and the commander and begins the process of leaving the tunnels, still ready for combat.
