Re: The Sundered Way
I rolled for Nem anyway, cos I don't know what we're sensing, but if she's still linked to Ily she's deaf and blind to her own surroundings. Ily has adv on smelling stuff, so I have him a straight roll but can adjust if needed. I doubt it'll matter with these numbers though
Perception: 2D20.LOW(1)+4 = [2, 14]+4 = 6
1D20+3 = [5]+3 = 8

Holger makes out a flicker of movement a half mile or so distant, a long form slithering around a dune, moving relatively parallel to the roadway... It's big, really big, pushing up furrows of sand as it slips out of sight to the west.

So it seems to be moving in the opposite direction of us?
"let's go back to the others, this thing seems to be half a mile away and the way it throws sand around makes me think the track we found may make it seem smaller than it is. But it's going the opposite direction of us at least"

Dornikal gives the sand once last glance before heading back to the wagons.

((Yes, it crossed the road from South East to North West, and seems to be paralleling it to the west currently.))
"Ideally until they return and tell us there's no problem. If they aren't back in ten, could you or Galt follow the trail West to see where they are?"

"Aye image we could." He gives Galt a glance. "Long as they are following the snake trail shouldn't be a problem."

Nem shakes off the telepathic link and focuses back in on what Holger is saying.
"Sounds good. If it's not an immediate threat I don't think we need to go looking for more trouble on this trip."

Holger goes back to the others with Tess.
"The snake seems larger than the tracks suggest, but it's heading in the opposite direction about half a mile from here, so it likely won't be a problem for us. But no reason to stick around unless we'll continue to make this road safer for those that travel here."

About the time that the party at the wagons is getting nervous, and Dornikal moving to investigate, the others return from following the trail.

Randy shrugs. "Too bright for me. Holger says he saw something headed west. You'd have to ask him for details. I'd say if it's going west, let's get moving east and put some distance between us."

"Fine by meh, let's get moving and put some distance between it and us before the sun comes up."
Dornikal is keen to get moving and will not be shy about getting the caravan going, though most seem ready to roll already.

Maji rides on Szartha's wagon, uncertian what to say/write, and eventually decides to be alert and watch out for anything along the way.

Dornikal hängs towards the back in the caravan looking from time to time back to the west for snaky pursuit.

Randy looks a bit bemused.
"I guess I'm back on point then."
He takes the lead, getting about 50 foot in front of the wagons.

Pausing briefly in the middle of the night to rustle up some foot and give the animals (and yourselves) a break, Randy is the first to notice that Renny seems to not have returned to the wagons after going to relieve himself.
