As the bugs draw up in range to spit fire, Dornikal and Tren loose their held attacks, each hitting one of the creatures.
Coljin's squad of dragonborn hurl their javelins, but they skip off hardened carapace.
Randy's squad downs the northernmost of the pair of creatures.
The remaining one spits a gout of flame at Zokk and Randy's squads. (DC 13 DEX saves from them please! They have +3 to DEX.)

(just a reminder for Zokk and Dornikal, you are still blessed.)

Coljin will move north up on the ledge, passing and stopping just northeast of Zokk. He will then let another crossbow fly at the bug closest to the south.

He is again amazed at how good a shot he is, maybe he should stop casting spells and just use weapons from now on!!!??!!

Ulmwin unleashes a crackling blast, some of it clipping the lead creature, but the majority slamming into the stone behind, shaking sand loose from above. His dragonborn advance and throw at the same foe.
Coljin slips to the fore and fires on the same creature, and while his bolt doesn't do much damage, it strikes in the joint of its carapace, causing the creature to rear up and allowing his squad of dragonborn to riddle its gullet with javelins, piercing the flame sack and sending another up in a gout of flame that damages those behind it. They fall back, waiting for the conflagration to die down a bit.
