Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I just realised Zephyr did pretty much the same with Holger after we fought the gibbering mouther. He was nice to her in order to diffuse the tension between her and Tess and she kissed Holger on the cheek, admitted not all humans were bad and called him wise (coincidentally his worst stat )
Also intending to get fairy fire and comprehend languages as my spells, switching out charm person.

Cool. I've got softball tonight, work tomorrow night and am doing an Axis and Allies all day session Saturday, but I'll work on getting things out to you in chunks as regards leveling.

Maji only wanted to get him to shut up! How else than giving him a bear hug and covering his mouth?Theis2 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2018 10:47 am Oh wow.. all the hate on Holger just because he got angry over a bear assaulted him because he figured out how to open magic boxes during the night
We'll Tess does have a bit more reason to be worried, but at the same time know that it isn't from the mummy tomb but I'm not sure what the rest of you are thinking he has done differently than usual.
Also Zephyr says her racism more often in front of others, but she's not the only one.

Asking nicely and not while fighting skeletons?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I think the whole key phrase is "while fighting skeletons" . While within shouting distance of a bunch of orcs of unknown numbers, in a site where it had been firmly established that they were ambushing caravans and then hiding the evidence of said ambush (meaning they weren't done yet). I think the tactician in Randy was somewhat offended. A little humility from Holger would go a long ways towards fixing things. You know things like saying "Oops, bad idea. Sorry."

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Maji can't really ask those things during combat, and you revealed yourself to be a potential threat. What Maji was going to do (only grappling Holger) is much less dangerous than what he could have done.

It would be odd that there are atheists in a world where gods are so apparent, but there probably are some?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Yeah, atheists would probably still exist, because the raw definition of that is simply not devoting yourself to one god, or just not worshiping any... Being agnostic, though, would probably be nigh impossible.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Atheism is non-belief in a deity, no? Agnostics are uncertain either way, and theists believe in at least 1 deity. At least that's what I always thought
Maybe Randy just demands higher standards of proof than your average NPC

Agnostics per Google:
a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God.
Atheists per Google:
a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods.
Based on that Dornikal probably should have said thiests rather than agonistics, cus he would know the difference even if I don't .

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Well, Randy wasn't talking about himself. Having a titular deity crawling around in your brain tends to remove the need for blind faith. Randy's problem is that said deity isn't necessarily the one he picked, and that the advertising for said deity isn't quite accurate in description. To say the least, it's a bit of an odd situation.

Oh sure that's why I didn't do more than move away from Maji.Arch Lich Burns wrote: ↑Fri Jul 20, 2018 5:13 amMaji can't really ask those things during combat, and you revealed yourself to be a potential threat. Do anyone expect some response from Holger/me?

Oh sure, he'll tell you about his family history of how he actually comes from a long line of peaceful oni, trying to prepare the world around them for them to finaly show themselves and be welcomed with open arms in human civilization!
Just thought of another cool wild surge addition.
Anyone within 5 ft of you become chaos marked indefinitely. Roll 1d4-1, that many chaos marked near you trigger a wild surge on their turn. You can only trigger chaos marks you've created.
Also a change to the 1 minute of wild surges to also chaos mark anyone that within 5 ft of you in that period.

That sounds suspiciously like it could become more dangerous than Randy's mini nuke.

I don't think YOUR magic should indefinitely affect someone else... Or that others would suddenly start casting their own chaos magic because of it.

Double up on danger then!
Trigger a nearby magical item to activate centered on who is holding it without expending a charge or using it up in case of single use items.

Yeah - I don't mind being negatively affected by Holger's magic, but I don't want to be a source of it

Holger would still be the source, you'll just act as a conduit for it!
But nothing you can do about it if Spider loves the idea!
Could also last till used and be removed with a remove curse I guess. Would be hilarious if you got one of the permanent effects from it though
