Yeah, nem's not going to discuss shenanigans in a fancy restaurant, but will fill the group in later to make a possible plan.
We're going back to the wizards at dawn, right?

Well, if you leave together, you can fill them in or not on the walk, but sending them on is fine.
That's the time you were given, yes.

(( <<chokes, sputters>> Platinum?! If that's what Holger's expecting, he's going to be disappointed! Given the airs this place gives off, he'll be lucky if it's gold. ))

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
This next week, I'm going to be going through supervisor training. My internet access is going to be limited to my cell and will be intermittent. I may need Spider to roll for me if that's needed.

Class's final exam is tomorrow, once the short answer are graded and entered, I'll be able to post with a bit more frequency!

On a side note, I shifted Zokk's stats so they show up on the first page. Can't change the name or class on the first page however.

(I don't think the healing dagger has any benefit of any plus' when fighting, though I assume it would count as a magic weapon to hit a creature if used in melee. With the amount of healing our party can put out on it's own, and the small amount the dagger actually heals, it might be worthwhile to look into what we might sell or trade it for)

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Hmm....
Don't sell that thing short. It's one of our few area affecting healing spells. Most of our healers wind up buffing themselves/each other during combat and don't usually have a lot left over for the party or NPCs afterwards.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
You actually gained a magic weapon, and the flaming blade would not count as magic for damage purposes, much like casting 'light' on an arrow won't make it deal damage like a magic weapon.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I stand corrected then! I thought it worked on the jackalweres but that's been a while ago and I confounded it with the force damage Randy does.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Well, if I counted it before, I probably wouldn't going forward. But yeah, with planar warrior, Randy is his own magic weapon.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
The others are aware of that. I'm not sure if Dornikal is yet. It's a bit of a deliberate subterfuge on Randy's part. He'd rather let outsiders think he's just singularly well equipped with magic weapons rather than let them know it's something he's doing himself. As far as that goes, I suspect the rest of the party thinks he can only use Planar Warrior with weapons. He's never used it bare handed. In theory, he could punch something with it and get the same effect (provided he doesn't break his hand first). Unfortunately, it does seem to limited to objects/entities with magic auras and/or life force/sentience (not quite sure where the cut out is), so no kicking a door and blowing it off it's hinges (cool though that would be). When he goes for monk eventually, someone is likely to get a nasty surprise.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
((You guys did spend a month living in the mine after you cleared it of orcs, so you have been spending every day with Dornikal for weeks and weeks at this point. If it's something you'd have been trying to be secretive about... well, suppose you two can do some opposed rolls! Yes, you can unarmed strike with it, much like Dorni get's his zealot radiant damage on a punch too, though until any monk levels come online, it would only make sense for Randy to do that if completely disarmed and in need of doing some damage, as he's not strong, and you'd be rolling 1d20+2 to hit and only 1+1d8 force damage. Worth mentioning that rapiers are finesse weapons for sneak attack if you ended up taking rogue levels, but aren't monk weapons.))

Dornikal isn't super bright but he is observant so he'd have picked something up and put it together. Probably. We can roll it out if you'd like Lurks?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Sure, why not?
Deception (hiding the power): 1d20+2 = [16] = 18
Ummm.... okay. Randy is being sneaky!

Let's see.. If I had to guess.
Based on the stunt and then disagreement that was had... We're probably no longer welcome in this town. Whether due to your meddling or perhaps some corruption, we're all probably going to get attacked or captured by town guards here soon

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I think the commander is making a play for the orb, likely at the behest of someone else. He doesn't owe our group of weirdos anything, though it seems that Anders is conflicted by the order and is giving us a heads up. Once they have the orb it may be in the commander's best interest to see us gone, one way or the other.

Guess we're gonna sleep with one eye open till we get to go back. Assuming it'll be that easy, they might not want to let us through the portal... Ulmwin should probably go and try make amends.
