Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Nice Locate object could be pretty useful. Once she knows you have the spell, Nem will definitely show you her poetry book so you know how to look for it if it ever gets lost or stolen. I'm not sure there's much else shes got that's quite as important to her right now.
Maybe you should practice Zone of Truth on Holger

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Spell list for the cave (first day)
Create/Destroy water, Goodberries, Speak with animals (ritual),Detect poison and disease (ritual), heat metal, locate plants/animals (ritual)
Maji will try to use speak w/ animals on the orc cook. If that don't work then switch it with enhance ability.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
We COULD use the scroll with Lesser Restoration on Renny. We could fix ONE problem: either his inability to hear or his inability to speak. Just tossing that out there to see what people think...

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Depends on the cause I guess, but could be worth a shot. We do have access to LR via Coljin though I think anyway, so we might want to save the spell scroll.

Also, I wonder if Ulmwin could understand Renny if he were to use comprehend languages...

Is Renny our mascot/pet?

It's the name we gave the orc, unless I'm having a serious brainfart? Not sure why Renny, though.

I know that, Morty. Maybe I should have phrased it better, can Renny be our mascot/pet?

I'm pitching "Randy's" idea IC because I think it's a good one, but also possibly dangerous

Why not fix his inability to think.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I mean, if he turns evil again that would quickly silence our conscience... I think Spider might enjoy torturing us with ethical dilemmas too much to make it that easy though.

Well then Maji can hurt/kill those that kill/hurt the orc in good conscience.

Does Maji honestly have one? He was excited by the prospect of eating slave soup.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I don't think we can restore stats scores until we get Greater Restoration tho (5th level spell), so it's probably moot. He'll just be a chatty idiot instead of a mute one
Incidentally, the greater restoration problem is what makes intellect devourers so damn dangerous and an absolute DM trap, cos they have a really low CR but can reduce a PC's INT to coma levels in one round. That's not a particularly relevant story, but now you know

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Well...If we're able to restore speech and hearing...that could help a ton...then just leave him as a caravan slave...we might actually be able to sell him as big dumb labor once we reach town...or keep him and use him as a backup in case a donkey dies. So many possibilities.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Note to self: make sure to mercy kill orc if he were to somehow come in a position where Zeph would be it's sole owner.
Anyways, restoring speech/hearing might help... But he'd still speak only orc, unless it'd also restore his common. Have... We actually tried talking to him in common before..?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Not sure we've tried common on him yet. Since it's not his prime language, it would be harder for him to lip read.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
It occurs to me that the orc can punch Holger over and over again until Holger see's what kind of orc he was and how he got his head injury (from the Cap of Backstory ). I think this would be cathartic for everyone involved.

You might be on to something! We just need to tie Holger up with some rope, and it'll be good times for everyone involved..!

Oh, poor, poor Holger, you are just so misunderstood.
However, Coljin thinks, too, you might be under a double curse of some type from your weird actions.
