Crap...the way this is going, we're looking at breaking the party up?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Well, that would make it interesting for Spider for sure. It'd be like running two campaigns simultaneously. If it happens, he'll have to be light on his DM feet to keep both branches going or exercise some DM powers to try to get the party back together just so he doesn't have the administrative headache. Ahhh, the perils of plot devices when you've got contributors in the dark! Makes for interesting content, headaches, and heartburn!

Zephyr wasn't there when Holger proclaimed to work for the mummy. She doesn't know of the potential dangers.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I don't think so, but up to you guys... Nem's just pissed off cos it's the middle of the night, she's lost the wagon and her familiar, there's a dangerous bandit camp like right there, she's been worrying about Holger for a long while now and then she got woken up by him unleashing skeleton snakes on everyone while they were asleep.
If it was really accidental, she'll apologise when she's calmed down.
As for DMing two parties - it's actually not too bad. Keeping the timelines in sync is the hardest part and even that's not too difficult to work through. On a forum there's loads of time to come up with different things for each group to deal with, so it's not nearly as bad or boring as it is round a table.

Did I imagine Holger casting sleep on all of us?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Maji was just annoyed at Holger for waking hem up and saying he was a servant of the mummy loudly and was trying to shut him up. But now that Holger threatened to attack him, and casted sleep on him, he's really despising him, even more than Z.

Or there's that... The precedent for "Rocks fall, everyone dies" is already in place still. Although it might be considered a bit extreme to use an orbital bombardment as a plot resolution device.spiderwrangler wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 9:37 amOr just kill one off...Lurks_In_Shadows wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 9:26 am Well, that would make it interesting for Spider for sure. Probably. I don't think I've actually seen anyone else use it. Probably because it's easier to type "lol" than "chuckle".

I think he only caught Maji in the spell. I'm not sure if that was intentional or just because no-one else nearby had low-enough HP to also fall asleep.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
That was very intentional as Maji kept being hostile to me and 1 minute timeout seemed the nicest course of action, granted Charm person might have been a better choice to calm Maji down for a while.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Sure, but I wasn't sure if you intentionally missed other people while you were targeting Maji I figured hitting Maji with the sleep spell was entirely purposeful (and not unwarranted).

Evil lurks closely behind us, all we must do is take the plunge by turning around and embracing it.

Stabbing sleeping bear just means bear wakes up and is angry dragonborn.

And we'd get back into the complicated weeds of determining the sleeper's level of awareness, initiative order and surprise rounds... Z would probably win, but there's a lot of possibilities for things to go wrong.

Question: given the rocks surrounding the camp site, in what direction is the bandit camp they found earlier? Depending on what direction it's in, I'd figure lighting a fire ought to be fine.

It's pretty far away I think, but we were trying to stay hidden from / alert to raiding parties more than anything.

If I'm wrong about the rules, then feel free to disregard what Holger said as I'm sure he would now that it's not going to happen today
