Julius looks blankly at Korga, obviously not getting the joke. He's not sure how wind has to do with beans.

(Anything else you want to investigate before settling in to camp? Will Julius be setting up his alarm wards again?)

Yes, Julius will set up a rune.

Olly would like to check the effects of the ring on his magic hand before it wears off, but he's not going to push it if Korga isn't up for the idea.

Korga's fine with the others having a go.

Olly excitedly accepts the ring and with only the briefest pause to see if either Korga or Julius are going to stop him, he puts the ring on one of his crystal fingers and tries to activate it.

While Julius sets up the camp's defences, Korga hands the right to Olly, who moves to slide it onto his crystalline hand. While his hands are significantly larger than Korga's, the ring slides on easily. As it does his hand tingles slightly, though it's barely notable compared to the numbness of his hand.
As with when Korga wore the ring, a gentle breeze begins blowing, rustling Korga's and Julius' clothing while leaving Olly untouched.

Olly tries to make the wind blow stronger. He emphasises the attempt with his martial arts moves (Hadouken!!!)

Olly's focus on the wind makes the breeze a little stiffer, but his movements only serve to make him look a little silly. Though, for anybody who understands the quirks enchantments can bear, it really is only a little silly.

Pleased with himself, olly will return the ring.

Korga throws herself backwards when she's struck by Olly's air blast.

"Oh shit!"
Olly's eyes go wide and he rushes towards Korga at the unexpected effect until he sees she's fine and he laughs.
"You asshole! I thought that had worked! At least you're not hurt. Here, you can keep this safe!"
He'll return the ring.

Korga manages to keep it together only until Olly rushes over to her, when she breaks out laughing at the concerned look on his face.
"Sorry Olly, I couldn't resist!"

Olly, Korga, Julius
While Julius is setting up the camp's defences, Korga pulls something of a trick on Olly, alarming him somewhat, as well as the carionite pup, which darts to her side, yapping at her until she starts moving again. Once she's moving again the pup settles down, going to sniff at the packs where the food is.

Olly walks back to camp, chuckling, and sets about making food and laying his bedroll out.
((Where do we have left to visit?))

((I think there was one day left of traveling eastward and exploring, then heading back in toward the city.))

((well Olly will be sad to see the end of this little adventure but that sounds like a plan to me))

Julius smiles at the pupper and gets out some food for his little pet as well. One more day. One more day and they can head back. That is if the others agree.

Korga nods as she feeds the pup scraps of meat. "A good first venture, and laid some groundwork for another trip if we want at some point. Wonder how things are going back at the arena?"

The trio settles down for camp, feeding their pets, and themselves. With everything seen to, the group settles in to sleep, receiving a... Surprisingly peaceful night. Throughout the course of the night, there are no signs of anything approaching, nor does Julius' alarm trigger.
Come morning, the surroundings of the camp are quiet, and as everyone is waking, the sun is framed through the curved stone, creating an illusion of the arch almost containing the rising sun.

Sorry for the... Really long delay on this. I spent a while with just... Zero motivation. No creativity for this coming to me or anything. Makes it hard to write. And then after a little while, it started feeling like I maybe shouldn't bother picking it up, if people would even care after so long, and... Eh, it's just been a whole thing. But hey, I managed to do what I do with every other mopey emotion; beat the hell out of it, shove it in a box, and burn it.

"Now that's a morning view you just don't get living in a city all the time...", Korga stretches and starts tidying the camp and getting breakfast around.

Loki
Jules frowns slightly, a hint of irritation reaching Loki's senses, "Well, yes, that is indeed the case. But being that I saw no sign of digging in the area, that somebody also would have needed to be able to do the damage without overturning the soil."
The question to follow, as to the nature of the pipes use, causes an amount of discomfort with Jules, as the details of his job are pried out, "To less wealthy areas, where only one house is expected to have plumbing, individual pipes are used, as laying pipes which can handle a larger flow would be inefficient. In wealthier areas such as the Capital's noble district, larger primary pipes are used."
Loki scratches his head and looks pensive for a while.
"I guess that's all I can think of for now. Thank you very much for your patience with my questions and all that. I hope you'll be able to visit taverns without getting into fights with Mister Carver in the future."

I'm very sorry for my prolonged absence from this thread and the forums altogether, but I was having health problems and have been taking time off various online activities as a result. I realize now I should have at least taken the time to notify you, but as they say "It's easy to be wise after the event." Again, apologies.

Olly, Korga, Julius
The trio set to having breakfast and breaking camp, eating comfortably before setting out eastward again. By the time the group set out, only Olly's hand is still crystalline, and about two hours later his hand has completely returned to normal.
As they continue onward, the terrain mostly remains flat, though off to the north patches of foliage become thicker and more common, and far beyond the group can make out shapes at the edges of their vision which look to be flat-topped mountains. Moving further eastward, Julius' compass flicks once toward the south for a few seconds before settling down, and half an hour later the compass begins swinging between pointing north and south before stopping yet again.
The land begins a gradual climb, nothing strenuous, but consistent enough that as the three cover distance they also climb higher, though the slow climb makes it difficult to notice any change. As the sun approaches half its ascent into the sky, Korga spots a momentary movement further to the east; a shape low to the ground and difficult to make details of paired with the brief sighting. It's at this time that the compass begins moving a third time, pausing while pointing north, east, and south. This time, though, the reactions continue.
Loki
Jules offers a broad, friendly smile as Loki thanks him, and the fighter can sense strong waves of relief as a hand is extended toward him to shake, "Certainly, sir. Thank you very much for your concern. I will certainly be doing my utmost to avoid further... Clashes, with Mister Carver."
Seeing the meeting coming to an end, the guard on watch moves to escort Mr. Jules out of the room.

"It seems there are three beasts of a similar distance from each other. We will probably get ambushed by something, so be prepared."
