Pffft, She's mine and we are going to fight sharks and birds and solve crime and stuff! Then once in a while we'll interrupt our wild adventures with a deep philosophical discussion that gets imprinted on the reader meaning we left our mark upon the world. The problem is that Nix wouldn't leave until she catches a decent-sized fish I'm afraid or something forces / persuades her to go back (like the tides/weather turning or some other random event). Her thinking is that if we're leaving town anyway, we could use the food and she can hopefully trade her fresh catch for a salted one for the road.

Well, I imagine Nix will probably spend another turn or two out here, but if the dice gods are good to us we shouldn't be too long The point in coming down here was to discuss what the hell is going on, come up with a bit of a plan and see what's what, but the cover story was fishing so it would help if we at least came back with something to show for it, or there'll be even MORE gossip in town tonight than there already will be

EDIT: The other deadline was dinner - we're supposed to all be meeting back at the inn for food tonight aren't we? I'm not sure if Leonie knows that, but I think we assumed she'd be there when we chose the location. Some of the others certainly noticed she was glowing earlier, so she's definitely on the radar of people to collect later.

You're right though, this IS different. Nix & theis's "date" was a convenient ruse to get some privacy while they talk about the Plot. Tim & BJ already had privacy and he still offered BJ his bed
