Tough choice, but I think the xp (and the level up :) ) wins.

That surprises me a bit. In most pen & paper or computer games casters or rogues are the main damage dealers, while warrirors are mostly tanks. I hope picking caster would give me some offensive spells later.

Erm, how many XP does Stumbles need to get to the next level?

Depending on the answer I might either pick the 10 XP, or the enchantment (on the lucky gloves of rude gestures, if possible) for him.

Flags Mines gains 20 coins.
No-Legs gains 16 coins.
Shiny gains 8 shiny coins.
Stumbles gains 8 coins.

Chosen Rewards

Flags Mines chooses the random item. He receives a [Mask of Delivery +1]

Flags Fuses chooses the XP. DING! He can choose 2 of the following tokens:
Teleport (Class), Visions (PT), Jump, Treasure!
Craig takes the enchantment to his jacket: <strengthened embroidery>

Goska and Stumbles have not decided yet. Stumbles knows that he will hit level 5 at 30XP, which is far, far away.

Shopping time!

The blacksmith also has a potential to upgrade his enchanting and item creating skills, if you choose to help him with the next mission! (And are not terribly bored of the graveyard themed maps.)

If I get a weapon, I don't need an additional skill to use it to attack, right?

How much for a +1 war hammer? And a shield (plain or +1)?

- you can get +1 physical damage for 5 coins
- you can get a random minor enchantment for 8 coins
- you can get a warrior ability enchantment for 10 coins

@Shiny:
Same enchantment types / prices are for the shield upgrade too (well, DEF instead of ATT), if you have something more specific in mind.

@Wears:
You are a Spelunker, which means you can't wield weapons, you've spent your time honing other, more important skills. You will have the ability to multiclass partly to warrior at level 5 though, if that is your dream.

You can think up simple, useful tools though, and I will name their price. (generally expect 3-8 coins for an unenchanted item, and +4-6 coins for a +1 level)

EDIT: @Wears, just some items on the top of my head

Is Weapon Mastery the same as Weapon Proficiency? Or do I need Weapon Proficiency to use it?

Is there a stronger sort of leather armor than the jacket? I'm assuming the same upgrade costs for armor, is this correct?

Hrm, if next level up is at 30 XP, the 10 bonus goes a long way. OTOH, with a completely unexplored map, the risk of getting blown up an loosing them immediately again is high. Which would leave me pretty much doing this: :wall:

I pick the enchantment on the rude gloves, please. (if that's NOT possibly for some reason, enchant the helmet, please. Unless that's a temporary item, in which case enchant the jacket.)

Also, on the char tab, the note "head:helmet +1 DEF against melee damage, +1 DEF against ranged physical" under worn items is not there. I hope that doesn't mean I don't get to keep the helmet after this map ends. :paranoia:

How does the enchanting work for me as a divine caster? Is there a list of what to pick or just the random enchants?
You also wrote spelunky cannot wield weapons, how about casters? Are there items like wands or staff which provide spells to fight with?

Do we lose items if we die? I had the impression we don't do that anymore, while it was a posibility in past games.

@Zigit:
- If I wrote weapon proficiency anywhere, it might be a mistake, there is only "Weapon Mastery" skill token, which grants an ability for the weapon you focus on (Weapon Focus: Bows, in your case).
- Jacket is the only leather armor at the moment, you could upgrade that, or buy a chain vest for 8 coins (gives +2 melee DEF). Heavy armor makes players exhaust faster, though.

@Dave
Oh Ok. I had the impression you are unsure of upgrading it to see whether it's worth or not.
The enchantment rolled is <Reinforced>

@Stumbles
No worries, you still have the helmet, I just messed up copying the inventory together. I can't enchant your gloves yet (as it's already +2 and has a lucky enchantment), but I can enchant your helmet.
The rolled enchantment is <Seer's>
► Show Spoiler
@Theis:
Enchantment:
(granted ability): Shield Bash: Deals physical damage equal to the shield's melee DEF value, and has a 25% chance to stun the target.

@Nerre:
-Enchantments you get as this map's reward are random, and depend on the item you want to enchant, and also your class/PT. You can't really influence that more.
-Yes, staves and wands are generally either filled with a caster skill token, or grant magic damage. You can buy a basic wand for 6 or a staff for 8 coins (more if you want it upgraded)
-No, you don't lose items if you die. Only if they are get taken away for any reason. (Quicksand for example might be mean like that.)

@Jib:
If you are talking about the buyable upgrades, they can stack as long as you have the money for it. The giant blacksmith is now an unlocked NPC to buy/upgrade stuff.

EDIT:
I will edit the new inventory along with the reduced coin amount once everyone is finished shopping, but still before the next round.

So I can by a wand and then put one of my tokens in it, which allows me to be on the map with more tokens than i could have active otherwise?

Can I do the same to enchant an item? For example by boots and asign a jump token on them?

I got the description from the Resource thread. http://www.goblinsforum.com/viewtopic.p ... 284#p18265 Kinda hard to track down this thread, would you consider adding it to your signature?

Anyways I think I'll take Weapon Mastery and Push. I would also like to upgrade the bow to +1 put a random enchantment on it, and buy a +1 jacket.

Stumbles also buys (normal) boots for 4 coins.

btw, the frying pan is still listed to do 1 damage to foes. Is that still true, L&S?

And yeah, in case it gets put up for vote: I'm in favor of going on a mission to help the blacksmith. I wouldn't mind a different scenery, but graveyard background/theme is as good as any. As long as we get to sweep mines!
