Re: Festival of Fools

((I am going to assume that Flacks will leave with one of the others))

As the four disgruntled travellers leave the dressing room, they see that the elf who had wine spilled on him is being apologized to by the staff who had spilled it on him. You can easily overhear the man saying "Please, take it to Action!, Priviett will get the whole stain out. Just take this coin, it's enough to pay for the cleaning. He's the best person to go to, and we have all our performers use his services. Just tell him that Monty from the Royal Festival Hall sent you and he'll take care of you. Again, I am so sorry that I spilled that wine on you!"

((Nope that you don't. You're new to town too. I am hoping that Mike, who has over heard this, will be kind enough to find it with you :P ))

(Seems I have the power to exclude Burns from the group as of now! >:D That does however mean I offend an arch lich :paranoia: )

The easiest way would be to accompany me, since I'm going there anyways. My name is Mike, and I wouldn't mind some company along the way. Mike leans slightly forwards as he stretches his hand towards Aethelweard.

"I'm pleased to meet you. Action! should be on main street, but not exactly sure what part of main street. But that shouldn't be a problem."
Mike turns around to the others asking a question before he continues on.
So do we meet here later or just at the stage hand when the girl is found or if it is too late?

Cal thinks for a moment. "Maeloraed will want the clothes you're getting," he says with distaste. "I'm going to check one possible location. If she's not there, we'll need to check back with him to find out if any of the other messages yielded results. It seems Kent will be staying here. All in all, I would suggest meeting here."

Kent grunts I hate fools that make life harder for everybody else. Wish he'd just tell us all the options and be done with it. What a pain in the ass. So Mike, you and this fella going to "Action!" while Cal and Flacks go about delivering this other message; that the plan?

"It seems so. I'll see you back here then."
Mike turns back to Aethel "I'm sorry about that interruption, shall we go get some clean clothing now?"
Mike will walk with Aethel if he agrees.

"I don't mind at all. We are all new to the city, but "lucky" enough to be handpicked from the crowd and hypnotised by a guy called Maeloraed. An uncormfortable perfomance seeing as he gained control over us and he is a seems like a foul or the very least unlikable as a person. But that part isn't that important. We were offered a drink by a prominent figure in this city called Hector, who picked us out in the crowd for the perfomance. We then met at the tavern we had a couple of drinks while he mentioned he hired a perfomer that haven't arrived. He only know Maeloraed recommended her and we just met with him to hear if he had any clues where the missing performer is. He was rather rude and unhelpful, so now I'm about to get his clothes to get him to help us locate the performer."
Mike sighs at the thought of Maeloraed. "Guess you got the semi long version."

"I thought I recognized you from somewhere. I am fortunate that I did not get picked, it could have ended badly. Was there not a gnome as well? Unfortunately there are always people like Maeloraed, no matter where you go. Even in my clergy had someone similar in nature. And that was one that I know of, I am certain there are others."

"You noticed? I tried to remain somewhat unknown to the crowd by covering my face. I guess that didn't go that well then. I don't know what happened to the gnome really except he was mad and left the tavern.

Yeah, I know you can't avoid people like him, but I had hoped that at least a day would pass before I got to know such a person. And you are from a clergy? What did you do there?"

"Oh I was supposed to forget you? I am sorry." He chuckles softly. "Well I am far away from my church at home and I was traveling to another one." He brings out his left hand from his pocket, which has a heart shaped piercing out of it. "I worship a deity that is not very well known. Her name is Evening Glory, she is a goddess of beauty and love. I have been a priest for a fairly short period of time, but I can cast spells. My preference being healing and protection spells."

"It would have been nice to remain unknown after that weird perfomance. Mike laughs silently till Aethel shows his hand.
I've never heard of that deity but it looks like they have a most uncomfortable initiation method! He continues to stare a bit baffled on the hand.

Having decided to split up, Kent sees the other four to the door before returning to the upstairs area where he takes a seat. Monty comes up to him to see if he wants and refreshments.

Mike heads out with Aethel to find Action! They find it relatively easily once they get back to Main Street. The window for the shop is full of elaborate performance gear, ranging from garish outfits to practical and elegant body suits best suited for acrobatics. When they head inside, there arenÔÇÖt very many ready-made outfits for display, although there are a great many paintings on the wall of some of the outfits that have been made for clients, including the flowing get-up that Ruby the firedancer had been wearing. ThereÔÇÖs only one person in the store, at least that can be seen. She looks very bored and is reading a book.

Calendil is successful in getting directions towards the Red Light District, and finds out that it is in the North-East corner of town. HeÔÇÖs also warned that itÔÇÖs not the safest neighbourhood sometimes, but that itÔÇÖs typically safe during the day and that the Casino sticks out like a sore thumb. It takes him a bit longer to get there, but when he does he sees that it is in fact a very visible building. ItÔÇÖs got coloured glass lanterns positioned around a big sign that simply says ÔÇ£CasinoÔÇØ that glow brightly even in the day; itÔÇÖs obvious that theyÔÇÖre magical. Flacks tags along and arrives with Calendil.

((Note: Calendil isnt quite there yet its further away than Action, so sorry Wears, its the only way I can really figure out how to keep the timing paced with Theis and Burns!))
((Odd, I rolled a die and you ended up with Calendil. Please try to take more time to read and interact with others!))

Kent's stomach rumbles a bit and he turns a little red, turning to MontyI think alright for drink, but if you have a bowl of stew or soup that would be wonderful.

"I guess you are really devoted to.. Evening glory was it? Oh seems we arrived"

Would like to push that in before we got inside :P

Mike tries to discern what book the girl is reading (and what kind of traits the girl have like hair colour and the like), while he walks around looking at some of the outfits waiting for Aethel to find Priviett.

Mike looks at the girl; she's got brown hair worn up in a loose bun, a round, rather expressionless face, and it currently wearing an all-black body suit. Mike can only imagine that she either has a reason for the get-up, or wasn't given much of a choice. Her book looks to just be a romance novel, but you don't catch the title as she puts it face down behind the counter when Aethel speaks to her.

The girl, who's stood up now that there are customers, looks at them and raises her eyebrows. "You don't look much like performers," she says, before calling out "Priviett! Customers asking for you!"

An Elf walks out from in the back of the shop, making no noise whatsoever. He has rather short, obviously dyed, black hair and is quite pale even for an Elf. "May I help you?" he says, making rather strange facial expressions as he does so, while keeping his voice rather monotonous.
-------------------------------------------
"Soup or stew? We have some simple soup.... but if you're hungry, you might be more interested in a roast beef sandwich? It's a cold sandwich, but a lot more filling!" Monty says to Kent, having heard the rumbling stomach.

((This has happened during Calendil's trip ))

"Monty? That kid has the worst luck!" the girl says. "He is constantly spilling things on others!"

Priviett nods and takes the coin, and leads Aethel into a room at the back and hands him a robe. "Here, you'll want to change into this and give me the clothes with the wine."

"So people come here often from him? Well...I guess it's one way of having you gain potential costumers." Aethel goes to the dressing room and closes the door as he changes into the robes. "How long will it be before my clothes are done?"
