I know it's theater of the mind, but how close is close? Cause with sprint Scyther could move up to 12 meters, and Cygnus over land is 7 with the move having a range of 6 for a total of 13.
So Without sprint he should have at least one square cushion in terms of being realesed? Or was close two squares away?
Let me see for a second what I initially put her at- But it most definitely wasn't straight next to her cuz you guys spent like ~2 turns just getting in range after waiting from a safe distance, so I ruled you couldn't release right next to it. I think I had it three meters "away", so it shifted to fifteen, then had Cygnus shift as much as it could to keep up? Yeah, pretty sure that's what I did- The math checks out.

Is the one that Wing Attacked Izzy still next to her, or was it a drive-by hit?

EDIT: Also, how far away are the three birds carrying the bugs?

Still next to her. As for the bird pokemon, they've only been flying straight up so far, so... I'd say you're right beneath them, about six meters in difference?

My apologies for the way overdue update guys, caught the flu and that hasn't exactly left me in the mood to update. Slowly getting better, so an update should hopefully be forthcoming.

Koa and Alex discuss what to do next, though make no concrete plans- Besides Alex' promise that he'll look into tutoring the new catch some time, and help improve it's abilities.
I'm waiting for Izzy and co. to be done, since Koa and Alex had to wait a half hour for the Greninja shenanigans.

So it's probably a mix up from being forced inspired to right an update, but I only see one grubbin falling?

From what I understand the starvia captured two grubbin and one charbug
Kay wrestled away one grubbin, and
one grubbin was dropped from damaging the bird
Charbug is still being kidnapped.

Did flincing Kay cause the second one to drop as well?

Also Dusk don't forget you can use reflect to reduce the damage Kay took, not much, but I don't think the birds want to stick around

The Charjabug is also falling - But I DID forget to update #3 to say the charjabug actually KO'd it with an electric attack and causes it to drop as well. Fixed.

Technically a bird is also dropping but who cares about those right :shifty:

I'm going to wait till Theis makes his move before I add in an attack for Bruce/Scraps.

Also, Bruce is truly a tactical genius.

Is there any chance of Izzy/Kay (or Rhythm) catching the other falling bug? If not, how far are we from the bird carrying the last Grubbin?
*cough cough* :paranoia:

To specify, I want to know how far Izzy/Kay and Rhythm are from it, so I know whether they can get into melee before I make my actions.

Probably not in range to catch the grubbin/charjabug before it hits the ground, but you'd be able to reach the final bird carrying one of the bugs, yes.

...wait, are there even any Grubbin still being carried? Only two got carried off - Kay has one, and the other is falling along with the Charjabug. So I think the escaping birds are all empty handed?

Before I post this, I want to make sure you're aware I will count your action the same as Irene did, Dusk- However, I simply can't resist...

Izzy

Seeing Etoile fall, Izzy takes what she considers to be the logical option, and directs Kay upwards to intercept Etoile partway down hence, logically, reducing the distance he falls and the damage he would take.

...Except everyone with a basic of physics realizes that's not how physics works, and instead Etoile not only needs to deal with his own velocity heading towards the ground, but the impacting velocity of a bat accelerating upwards as well. The resulting effects are similar to what one can experience during tests of the hadron collider, if instead of two atoms it was a flying bug and a giant bat. With one big splat, no new elements are created, though there's definitely a mess to clean up.

Fine. Izzy jumps off halfway up, grabs Etoile, and floats them both gently down to the ground.

Better?
